I want to hug you.REV

Masayuki Deguchi, who was active as the solo unit REV, is from Gunma Prefecture.
He released “Dakishimetai” as his second single, and the title track was used as the opening theme for the TV Asahi drama “Seishun Offside! Onna Kyōshi to Nekketsu Eleven” and as the commercial song for Lotte’s CRUNKY STICK.
BIRTHD

HIROKI, the drummer of the visual kei rock band D, is from Gunma Prefecture.
They released “BIRTH” as their major-label debut single.
The single was produced by Hajime Okano and features Neko Saito as a guest violinist.
Endless SongOkuno Atsushi, Fukazawa Yasuaki

Rogue, the legendary rock band formed in 1982 and disbanded in 1990.
They broke up the year after successfully headlining a solo concert at Nippon Budokan in 1989, which must have disappointed many fans at the time.
The vocalist, Atsushi Okuno, dominated Japan’s rock scene with his overwhelming vocal power, but an accident robbed him of his singing voice.
NHK aired a program portraying his comeback life, which drew a strong response.
Yasuaki Fukazawa, like Atsushi Okuno, is from Maebashi City and served as the drummer and a backing vocalist for Rogue.
Turning UpSakurai Shō

A member of the national idol group Arashi, beloved by the nicknames “Sho-kun” and “Sho-chan,” who serves as the group’s rapper.
Although he grew up in Tokyo, he has roots in Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture, where he was born and lived until entering elementary school, and it seems he still slips into the local dialect when he goes back.
His intelligent yet approachable charm shines as a host and the face of many commercials, and we can’t help but swoon over the cool, clever style of his ‘Sakurap’!
SanctuaryWajirō MIC

A comedy-style rapper, Wagiro MIC.
He’s a rapper with a memorable voice and laugh-inducing rhymes.
He’s not exactly a hardcore freestyle battle MC, but he did appear on Freestyle Dungeon on January 29, 2019.
His opponent was, unbelievably, the powerhouse MC FORK, but I think he still managed to take some good bites at him (lol).
He had the crowd cracking up, too.
And beyond that, his recorded tracks are seriously entertaining! His rhymes are easy to catch, so definitely give him a listen!

Okada also drew attention when he was appointed as a Gunma Ambassador in 2012.
“Kimi Dake o Miteita” was used as an insert song in the TV drama “Moshimo Negai ga Kanau Nara,” in which Okada appeared.
Scat at DawnYuki Saori

Saori Yuki, who is active as a singer and actress, is from Kiryu City, Gunma Prefecture.
She made her first appearance at the 20th NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen with ‘Yoake no Scat.’ The song topped the Oricon singles chart for eight consecutive weeks and became a million seller.
