Rogue, the legendary rock band formed in 1982 and disbanded in 1990.

They broke up the year after successfully headlining a solo concert at Nippon Budokan in 1989, which must have disappointed many fans at the time.

The vocalist, Atsushi Okuno, dominated Japan’s rock scene with his overwhelming vocal power, but an accident robbed him of his singing voice.

NHK aired a program portraying his comeback life, which drew a strong response.

Yasuaki Fukazawa, like Atsushi Okuno, is from Maebashi City and served as the drummer and a backing vocalist for Rogue.

Turning UpSakurai Shō

A member of the national idol group Arashi, beloved by the nicknames “Sho-kun” and “Sho-chan,” who serves as the group’s rapper.

Although he grew up in Tokyo, he has roots in Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture, where he was born and lived until entering elementary school, and it seems he still slips into the local dialect when he goes back.

His intelligent yet approachable charm shines as a host and the face of many commercials, and we can’t help but swoon over the cool, clever style of his ‘Sakurap’!

SanctuaryWajirō MIC

A comedy-style rapper, Wagiro MIC.

He’s a rapper with a memorable voice and laugh-inducing rhymes.

He’s not exactly a hardcore freestyle battle MC, but he did appear on Freestyle Dungeon on January 29, 2019.

His opponent was, unbelievably, the powerhouse MC FORK, but I think he still managed to take some good bites at him (lol).

He had the crowd cracking up, too.

And beyond that, his recorded tracks are seriously entertaining! His rhymes are easy to catch, so definitely give him a listen!
