Hippy is a singer-songwriter from Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture.

He served as the vocalist for the band maegashira, which was active from 2001 until it disbanded in 2011.

Since then, he has pursued a solo career.

In 2020, he drew attention for a collaboration with TEE on the track “dear DREAMER.” The song was inspired by former professional baseball player Tsuyoshi Shinjo’s attempt to return to pro baseball, and it was chosen as the theme song for the 2020 Summer Hiroshima Prefectural High School Baseball Tournament on Hiroshima Home TV.

HIRO, the leader of EXILE, hails from Hiroshima Prefecture.

This is their 36th single from when he was still a performer in the group.

They have many explosive hits, but this is my favorite, and I still listen to it often.

The forward-looking lyrics set to a bittersweet melody really resonate with me.

The performers’ incredibly cool dancing in the music video is also a highlight.

As a sister group of AKB48, they won the New Artist Award at the 60th Japan Record Awards with their debut single, “Kurayami.” As idols contributing to Setouchi, their charm surely lies in their cuteness and simplicity.
