Bands, artists, and singers from Miyazaki Prefecture (21–30)
breadUtaouji Abi (Beranparēdo)

Beran Parade is a four-piece rock band formed in Miyazaki in 2013.
The band’s guitarist and vocalist, Abi Utaoji, was born in 1992 and hails from Miyazaki Prefecture.
All of Beran Parade’s songs are written and composed by Utaoji.
Their music—at once heart-tuggingly bittersweet and somehow nostalgic—has earned them a particularly strong following among younger generations.
Their look is also distinctive, with a mushroom haircut serving as their trademark.
Anpanman Marchdoriimingu

They are a twin-sister vocal duo known as the singers of their 1988 debut single, Anpanman’s March, the theme song for the TV anime Soreike! Anpanman, and they primarily perform children’s songs, school songs, and anime songs.
DANCE INTO FANTASYKEIJI(EXILE)

KEIJI (Keiji Kuroki), a member of the nationally renowned dance and vocal group EXILE, is from Miyazaki Prefecture.
He began dancing at the age of 19, started activities in January 2007 as a member of the newly formed J Soul Brothers, and joined EXILE on March 1, 2009.
Tango En SkaiOohagi Yasushi

I am a guitarist from Kobayashi City.
I began playing guitar in childhood, studied under renowned guitarists, and studied abroad at a conservatory in Paris.
I later made my debut in Japan with the album “One Day in November.” I am currently performing in various recitals both in Japan and abroad.
tabooAiri Toyama

She won the Ralyon Girl Grand Prix in 2003 and made her entertainment industry debut.
She debuted as a singer in 2004 under the name pink feat.
mc A&T/taboo.
She is also active as an actress, and in the 2005 film “Tobi ga Kururi to,” she appeared as the daughter of actor Sho Aikawa.
piercingKubota Kai

Kobuta Kai, often hailed as a new-generation rapper from Fukuoka.
He apparently uploaded several of his own tracks to YouTube, and the response led to his debut.
That story alone already gives off big-star vibes, doesn’t it? The first artist he ever loved was Kobukuro, and that might be where the freedom in his music—though he’s labeled a rapper—really shows.
I personally recommend his song “Pierce”; the lyric that likens the hollow left by heartbreak to a pierced ear hole is brilliant.
Toughness and tenderness, mellow and melancholic—his music shifts through countless shades.
You won’t regret giving it a listen!
ELECTRICAL COMMUNICATIONGanasia

This is a band whose member Kana Takahashi is from Miyazaki Prefecture.
This song was tied in as the opening theme for the anime Mega Man 8 and Mega Man: Super Adventure.
They also landed other anime tie-ins, such as for Bakusō Kyōdai Let’s & Go!!.
