Memory PillowKosaka Kyoko

In 1973, at the 5th Yamaha Popular Song Contest (commonly known as Popcon), she won the Best Vocal Performance Award for the song “Watashi no Suki na Kuma-awase” (“My Favorite Combination”).

Furthermore, at the 7th Popcon in 1974, she captured the Grand Prix with “Koi no Sasayaki” (“Whispers of Love”), opening the path to her major-label debut.

“Omoide Makura” (“Pillow of Memories”) became a hit, selling over 1.3 million copies, and became one of her signature songs.

The Tangerine SongNOISY (moto SEX MACHINEGUNS)

NOIZY, the bassist of the heavy metal band SEX MACHINEGUNS known for the song “Mikan no Uta,” is from Miyazaki.

He remained in the band until SEX MACHINEGUNS disbanded, and later formed DUSTAR-3 together with HIMAWARI.

As part of her lyric-writing activities, the four songs “Hachimitsu HONEY CHEEKS,” “Fuyu no Candle,” “Raspberry Punch♪,” and “Himawari” are known as ending themes for NHK Educational’s “Tensai TV-kun MAX.” She also actively participates in local events in Miyazaki Prefecture every year.

She is a former vocalist of the girls’ dance and vocal group EARTH, currently active as a singer and TV personality.

She is from Miyakonojo.

After a hiatus from 2014 to 2016, she successfully held a solo concert at a live restaurant in Meguro.

An unconventional sister duo featuring the elder sister Mika, winner of the national folk song championship, and the younger sister Chiharu, Miss Miyazaki.

The two made their major debut in 2010 with “Nakan to yo” (lyrics: Natsu Takigawa, composition: Masanori Kato, arrangement: Nobuyuki Sakuraba) on Tokuma Japan Communications.

Wanting to share her singing voice without being confined by nationality or looks, in 2012 she concealed her background and, under the artist name GILLE, uploaded her own covers of Japanese and Western hit songs to YouTube.

Within two months of release, the total views surpassed one million—especially the English version of AKB48’s “Flying Get,” which rapidly ignited her popularity.

At the time of her debut, GILLE went by the name TASHA gee.

Misachi Kujima, who was also a classmate of Chihiro Onitsuka in high school, has since changed her stage name and now performs as MisaChi.

After switching careers from a hairdresser, she began making music and made her major-label debut in 2005 with the single “Missing You.”
