Nana is also well known as the lead vocalist of 7bitz, formed in 2008, and despite her background with the Shiki Theatre Company, she continues to pursue a wide range of activities.

In particular, winning the NHK Nodo Jiman Nagaoka competition in April 2006 and her post-2007 Niigata Chuetsu-oki Earthquake recovery support efforts speak to her roots and passionate dedication.

“Takaromono” encouraged many listeners as a song dedicated to recovery.

With its beautiful melody and heartfelt lyrics, Nana is truly a treasure of Niigata Prefecture!

Silent majorityShida Manaka (Keyakizaka46)

When you observe the 46/48 groups from a different angle, I think there’s something similar to the Koshien vibe.

That hometown pride and joy, like “An AKB member from our town is doing great!” When Ruka Yamamoto debuted with AKB, it was a huge deal as she was the first member from Wakayama.

In that sense, Manaka Shida, the first Niigata-born member in the Sakamichi series, was one of those who greatly energized the early days of Keyakizaka46.

Affectionately known as ‘Mona,’ she was selected as a member for the first single, ‘Silent Majority.’ Just when everyone thought her path was smooth, she paused activities due to health issues and ended up graduating as is.

She’s one of the idols I still wish would come back to Sakurazaka46.
