Reina Fukuchi, a member of AKB48’s Team 8, is from Saga Prefecture.
She is the only AKB48 member from Saga.

Koijigawa (Koiji River)Hiroyuki Nishikata
Hiroyuki Nishikata, who is active as an enka singer, is from Minato-machi, Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture.
He won the 1st The Star Karaoke Championship held in Saga Prefecture and has appeared as a guest every year from the 2nd event onward.
In 1993, his song “Koijigawa” received the Wired Music Award at the 26th Japan Cable Radio Awards.

AMADORI, who is active as a singer, is from Takeo City in Saga Prefecture.
She released “Soba ni Iru Kara” as her 4th single, and the title track was used as the ending theme for the anime Naruto.
This song was her first tie-in with an anime.

Hakuryu, who is active not only as a film actor but also as a singer, hails from Imari City in Saga Prefecture and serves as a tourism ambassador for the city.
Since his debut single was “Arirang no Uta,” one can sense his deep feelings for Korea, his parents’ homeland.
Although his work mainly in V-cinema and yakuza films has given him a tough-guy image, he is also well known for being friendly and cheerful.

Takashi Aoyama, who was active as a member of the idol group Four Leaves, is from Takakise-machi, Saga City, Saga Prefecture.
With the 1976 release Odoriko (The Dancer), he received the Special Award at the Japan Kayō Awards and the Golden Canary Award at the Tokyo Music Festival, among others.
Kanda RiverYamada Panda (Kaguyahime)
Panda Yamada, who was active as a member of the folk group Kaguyahime, is from Kurotsu, Azasakimura, Chiyoda Town, Kanzaki District, Saga Prefecture.
‘Kandagawa’ was Kaguyahime’s biggest hit, selling 1.6 million copies.
