Nobuyuki Takatsuto

Born in 1986 in Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture, Nobuyuki Takatsuto is the vocalist and guitarist of the rock band MAGIC OF LiFE.
Since all the other original members have left the band, he is effectively the last remaining original member.
The band also drew attention for performing an ending theme for the anime Yowamushi Pedal.
Kahimi Karie

From Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture.
Kahimi Karie is a musician born in 1968.
Her husband is tap dancer Kazunori Kumagai.
She moved to New York in 2012.
The video is the music video for her third single, released in October 1995, which won the Hong Kong MTV 1995 Female Artist Video Clip Award.
TAKE-C
TAKE-C is a guitarist from Tochigi Prefecture, born in 1979.
SHAKALABBITS, formed in 1999, saw their guitarist MASSY leave the band, after which TAKE-C, who had been participating as a support guitarist, became an official member.
hitomi

A singer-songwriter from Tochigi Prefecture, whose real name is Hitomi Furuya.
She originally appeared in fashion magazine shows as a model, which explains her tall, slender figure.
She became a rare case of achieving more hits after parting ways with Komuro’s production.
Hiroko Sakakibara

Hiroko Sakakibara, the female vocalist of Da Capo, known for the theme song “Like a Flower Blooming in the Field” from the TV drama The Naked General’s Wandering Tales, is from Tochigi Prefecture.
It’s said that local broadcasters in Tochigi regularly air the prefectural anthem sung by Hiroko Sakakibara at set times.
hamazaki takashi

Takashi Hamasaki was born in 1965 and hails from Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture.
After serving as the vocalist for the rock band FLYING KIDS, he has been active as a singer-songwriter.
In 2016, he drew attention for his cover of “Whisky ga, Osukidesho” (known from the Suntory commercial).
Before singing this song, Hamasaki had reunited with its composer, Mamoru Sugi, as well as percussionist ASA-CHANG and bassist Akita, which led him to say he felt a special connection to the song.
Moriyama Aiko

Aiko Moriyama is an enka singer born in 1985 from Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture.
She graduated from Tochigi Prefectural Shioya High School.
In 2000, when she was a first-year high school student, she appeared on Nippon TV’s “Look Look Konnichiwa” in the “Girls’ High School Students Singing Contest,” which led to her being scouted by composer Hideo Mizumori.
