Kishō Taniyama, who works as a voice actor and singer, is from Ube City in Yamaguchi Prefecture.
He released his 1st single, “Daydreamin’,” as his debut single.

Masataka Fujishige, who works as a singer and actor, is from Iwakuni City in Yamaguchi Prefecture.

Yutaka Furukawa is a musician from Yamaguchi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture.
He formed DOPING PANDA in 1997 and served as the frontman until the band disbanded in 2012, after which he began his solo career in 2013.
Influenced by hard rock such as Led Zeppelin, he has been active as a guitarist, including participating in Base Ball Bear’s tours.
Fans of DOPING PANDA are called “Dopamaniacs,” while fans of Yutaka Furukawa are known as “Yutakamaniacs.” Although he has wide connections with fellow rock musicians, his passionate interview with Gotoh from ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION on CINRA.NET—despite the two reportedly not getting along—is a must-read.

HKT48 is an idol group representing Kyushu and a sister group of AKB48.
Among its members, Anna Murashige and former member Yui Komori are from Yamaguchi Prefecture.
Anna Murashige’s mother is Russian, and she’s affectionately known by the nickname “Aanya,” which comes from Russian.
In 2016, drawing on that heritage, she was appointed a Yamaguchi PR Special Envoy for Japan–Russia friendship.

Born in Shunan City, she studied vocal performance and gospel at a music college before making her debut in November 2009 with the single “DEVOTION.” Since 2012, she has based her activities in her hometown and has also worked as a radio personality.
Her deep love for her hometown has captured many hearts, as seen in her appointment as Kudamatsu Tourism Ambassador and her provision of an official theme song for the J.League club Renofa Yamaguchi FC.

In HAWAIIAN6, a band that stays true to melodic hardcore, the one delivering those thunderous bass lines is Gure, who hails from Shunan City in Yamaguchi Prefecture.
After his activities with TOAST, he officially joined the band in April 2014.
Formed in 1997, the band solidified its place in the scene with releases like the 2000 mini-album “FANTASY.” Gure also has a charmingly multifaceted side—he’s a collector who owns around 200 pairs of sneakers and a sauna enthusiast.
