Hybrid passenger car (Prius)

This is the sound of the Prius, which is practically synonymous with eco-friendly hybrid cars.

Little kids used to say “vroom,” didn’t they?
Bus (Mitsubishi Fuso MP117K)

A slightly nostalgic bus engine sound.
It’s the kind of engine noise that anyone middle-aged or older would remember right away.
You can almost see the inside of those route buses from back then.
The sound is anything but quiet, but it has that powerful, quintessential bus roar.
Ferrari V12 (F12)

From the latest Ferraris, this is the F12, a car equipped with the traditional V12 engine.
As an ultra-high-end supercar, the interior looks luxurious as well.
It’s a video from overseas, but this sound is an incredible V12 Ferrari roar that doesn’t seem like it comes from a production car.
It’s basically a racing car at this point.

Volkswagen (air-cooled engine)

It’s the original Volkswagen, known as the Beetle.
The old Volkswagens actually had air-cooled engines.

Porsche for the general public, so it used the same air-cooled, horizontally opposed engine as Porsche.
Mazda (RX-7 rotary engine)

It’s no longer in production, but this is the RX-7, the iconic rotary-engine car Mazda is proud of.
It has that slightly dry, distinctive sound unique to rotary engines.
You can also hear the turbo blow-off valve, giving it a pretty aggressive tone.
Car enthusiasts say they can recognize a rotary engine just from this sound.
Lamborghini Countach

This is the quintessential supercar, the Lamborghini Countach.
Since it’s a car from over 30 years ago, you rarely see one unless it’s at some kind of event.
It has a thunderous sound worthy of a supercar.
This time, we also have the sound of the legendary Miura.
Japanese car that won at Le Mans (Mazda 787B)

This is the sound of the Mazda 787B, the only Japanese car to have won the world’s most famous auto race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Powered by Mazda’s proud rotary engine, it triumphed in the toughest race in the world.
