Kei car (old Jimny with a 2-stroke engine)

This is the sound of a kei car from about 50 years ago.
Back then, kei cars often used simple two-stroke engines.
They make a distinctive popping sound.
Because they’re loud and their exhaust smells, two-stroke engine cars are no longer used today.
24. Ferrari V8 (F40)

The F40 is said to be the car Ferrari, the supercar manufacturer, released to commemorate its 40th anniversary.
It was nearly 30 years ago, but at the time it was the fastest production super sports car.
A total of 1,311 units were produced, and 59 officially imported cars came to Japan.

This is the Nissan GT-R, said to be the fastest domestically produced car currently on the market.
It doesn’t usually run that fast anywhere other than on circuits in Japan, but it’s an incredible Japanese sports car—practically a racing car built for the track.

This is the sound of the Prius, which is practically synonymous with eco-friendly hybrid cars.
When it’s moving slowly on electric power alone, it’s really quiet.
I guess our image of how cars sound will gradually change from now on.

This is the sound of the legendary F1 driver Ayrton Senna driving the McLaren Honda MP4/5.
