Lamborghini Countach

This is the quintessential supercar, the Lamborghini Countach.
Since it’s a car from over 30 years ago, you rarely see one unless it’s at some kind of event.
It has a thunderous sound worthy of a supercar.
This time, we also have the sound of the legendary Miura.
Japanese car that won at Le Mans (Mazda 787B)

This is the sound of the Mazda 787B, the only Japanese car to have won the world’s most famous auto race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Powered by Mazda’s proud rotary engine, it triumphed in the toughest race in the world.
It has the distinctive sound unique to rotary engines.
Passenger car (Corolla Fielder)

It sounds like a typical Japanese passenger car that I’m used to riding in.
Mostly wind noise while driving and tire noise.
That shows how quiet the engine sound is in Japanese passenger cars.
Japanese cars are really well made.
Today’s racing cars (2016 Le Mans)

These are cars that are active in the current 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Over 36 years, the shape and sound of the cars have changed significantly.
Le Mans has always been a race where people and machines push their limits.
No matter how much machines and cars advance, I’m reminded that the true protagonists of the race are the people.
Old Ferrari (250 GTO)

This is Ferrari, often called the king of supercars.
Here’s an introduction to the highly rare and valuable 250 GTO.
It features the distinctive Ferrari V12 engine sound.
Although it’s not as high-pitched as today’s Ferraris, it has a tone that exudes the dignity of a true champion.
large truck

In this era of bustling logistics, trucks are an essential means of transportation that support our daily lives.
You often see large trucks driving by with a “pssh” sound, right? That “pssh” is said to be the sound of the air brakes or exhaust brake, which are used to handle heavy loads.

Vintage racing cars (Porsche 917, Ferrari 512 S, Le Mans)

Starring Steve McQueen, this is the final scene of the glorious film Le Mans.
It’s a movie about drivers set during the 1970 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Even today, it’s a powerful film—the intensity of the cars from that era really comes through.
As an aside, the movie is also famous for having very little dialogue.
