The dog owned by Jirokichi Suzuki, the uncle of Sonoko Suzuki and close friend of Ran Mouri, is named “Lupin.” The name is said to be taken from Masako Tsujimasa’s mystery series Meiken Lupin (Stray Dog Lupin). Together with Jirokichi Suzuki, the dog plays an active role in trying to capture Kaito Kid.
