Craft ideas for a children’s Christmas party: Simple and exciting projects (11–20)
Christmas garland made with tape

Here’s a perfect garland idea for decorating Christmas parties and kids’ gatherings.
Try a craft that all the kids at the party can enjoy making together! With just some paper ribbon (Suzuran tape) and mirror tape, you can create Christmas decorations that brighten up the wall.
Wrap the two types of tape around cardboard or similar material to make loops.
Tie the tops of the loops made from the two tapes together with the paper ribbon, then trim off any excess.
Finally, cut the loops apart, and you’ll have a piece that looks like a Christmas tree.
Adding a star ornament on top is also recommended.
Present Balance Game

This is a balance game where you stack items so the presents don’t fall off the stand.
Cut slits at the top and bottom of a toilet paper roll and fold them outward.
Alternate stacking paper plates and the rolls to build a balancing stand.
Place gift boxes made from origami and masking tape on the stand and see how many you can stack.
You can adjust the size of the stand to suit children’s reach, or vary the size of the gift boxes.
It’s also a great activity to liven up a Christmas party.
Christmas card made with lace paper

A pop-up card where doilies open up in 3D.
We’ll share ideas kids can enjoy, like decorating with craft parts and stickers or drawing.
Prepare three half-doilies, place them face down, fold each in half, and open.
Fold the paper toward the inner guideline, open it outward, flip it over, and fold inward toward the line again.
Fold a square sheet of construction paper in half, then attach a star decoration at the top along the crease.
Apply glue to the back of the far-right doily section, open one panel, and align its left edge with the construction paper’s crease to stick it down.
After attaching the tree trunk to the construction paper, place scrap paper underneath and apply glue to the front.
Fold the construction paper in half and open it again—the tree will pop up.
Christmas ornaments made with origami

Why not make ornaments for decorating your Christmas tree with origami? Fold a sheet of origami paper twice, draw a circle on the folded side, and cut it out.
Make 12 identical pieces and fold each in half.
Line the pieces up horizontally and attach tape in order from the upper diagonal to the lower diagonal.
Rotate the paper and stick them together, then attach a ribbon to finish.
Because it’s an item made by repeating the same steps, it’s a great way for children to enjoy the fun of crafting.
It’s a fun idea using origami with Christmas-themed colors and patterns.
Yarn wreath

Here’s a wreath you can easily make with yarn! Cut a piece of cardboard into a donut shape, then wrap your favorite color yarn tightly around it until the cardboard is completely covered.
After that, use glue to attach decorations like beads, ribbons, and pipe cleaners, and you’re done! Don’t forget to attach a string securely so you can hang it on a wall.
If you make a smaller wreath and add a strap fitting, you can create a strap-style wreath, too.
It also makes a great gift for parents or friends.
