Chewy Santa and the Reindeer

Let’s make Santa and reindeer puppets with mouths that open and close.
First, cut off the spout section of a milk carton.
Next, make vertical slits from top to bottom on the two corners that are diagonal from each other.
Crease the bottom so it divides into two triangles—this creates the mouth that can open and close.
The side panels above and below the mouth become the face and body, so cut them to your preferred length and shape, then cover them with construction paper.
For Santa, you can cut one side into a triangle to represent his hat.
Finally, attach the facial parts made from construction paper and the reindeer antlers, and you’re done.
A snow globe with swirling snow
@.vs9086 This time it’s a “Fluffy Snow-Globe That Swirls!” You can make it with items from the 100-yen shop! [Materials] • Plastic cup with lid • Straw • Balloon filled with tiny beads • Christmas-patterned postcard or kitchen paper • Decorations to put inside (Santa, tree, snowman, etc.) (• Light to put inside) [How to make] (1) Make a hole near the rim of the cup (this will be close to the bottom of the snow globe). (2) Enlarge the hole and insert a straw. (3) Make a small hole in the bottom of the cup (this will be the ceiling of the snow globe). Note: This creates an air passage. (4) Cut the Christmas-patterned background into a trapezoid and stick it on the inside of the cup. (5) Cut open the balloon with beads and pour the contents into the cup. (6) Seal the hole in the lid with tape. (7) Attach the decorations to the lid with double-sided tape. (8) Put on the lid and flip it over to finish. (9) Blow through the straw and the snow will swirl! [Notes] If you accidentally inhale, the beads can go into your mouth, so little kids should be careful! [Variations] Adding a light from the 100-yen shop makes it super cute! If you add one, thread it through the hole in the lid first, then seal the hole with tape. ----- We share fun brain-boosting play that gets elementary school kids more absorbed than their Switch—and helps grow their talents! ♬ Let It Go – From “Frozen”/Soundtrack Version – Idina Menzel
Here’s an idea for a snow globe that moves when you blow through a straw.
Prepare a lidded plastic cup, a straw, a balloon filled with beads, a Christmas illustration, and some decorations.
First, make a hole in the side of the plastic cup and insert the straw.
Also make about two small air holes in the bottom.
Stick the Christmas illustration on the inside of the cup and transfer the beads from the balloon into the cup.
Seal the original straw opening in the lid with tape, then stand and glue a decoration such as a Santa on top.
Close the cup with the lid, and it’s done.
Be careful not to inhale while the straw is in your mouth, as the beads could get into your mouth.

Santa Claus Is Coming to Town – Icchy & Naru (BomBom Academy)
A cute Santa craft where he peeks out adorably.
It’s very easy to make.
First, cut a circle out of construction paper to make a lid for a paper cup.
Make Santa out of construction paper too.
Poke a hole in the bottom of the paper cup to pass a popsicle stick through, and draw a brick pattern on the sides.
Tape the lid onto the paper cup, insert the popsicle stick through the hole, and tape the stick to the lid to secure it.
Now you’ve created a mechanism where pushing the stick opens the lid.
Finally, attach Santa to the underside of the lid, and you’re done.
A tinsel Christmas wreath

Here’s how to make a Christmas wreath by wrapping colorful pipe cleaners.
Create a festive item that kids will love—hang it on the wall as an ornament or dangle it from a tree.
First, wrap a pipe cleaner around a straw, then slide it off the straw, leaving small gaps between the coils.
Make three of these.
Next, thread a straight pipe cleaner through the holes created by the coils.
Leave the ends free, form a ring, and twist 2–3 times to secure.
Decorate with ribbon-shaped pipe cleaners or rhinestone stickers for a sparkling finish! By changing the pipe cleaner colors and decorations, you can create all kinds of different wreaths.
Santa walking with little pitter-patter steps

Here’s an idea for making a Santa who carries presents.
You’ll need a paper cup, construction paper, a plastic bottle cap, a super ball (bouncy ball), a rubber band, string, a clear bag, and a small present.
Place the paper cup upside down and decorate it as Santa Claus using construction paper.
Put the super ball inside the bottle cap, close it, thread a rubber band through it, and tape it in place.
Put the present in the clear bag and use the string to attach it to the paper cup.
Cut 1 cm slits into the rim on the left and right sides of the cup, then hook the cap’s rubber band into the slits to finish.
Twist the cap section and set it on a table—Santa will start walking.
