Balloon Art Show

A fun, attention-grabbing event! Let us introduce a balloon art show.
Balloon art is an art form that uses balloons to create a variety of shapes.
By twisting long, thin balloons, you can make all kinds of figures—dogs, bears, swords, flowers, and more! During a balloon art show, you’ll be on the edge of your seat, excited to see what takes shape next.
It’s also a great idea to give the finished creations to children as souvenirs.
Be sure to consider adding this to your PTA event.
Puzzle Escape Game

Let’s team up as a parent and child and join in! Here’s an introduction to a puzzle-solving escape game.
How about trying a puzzle escape game that combines an escape game with riddles? It’s a good idea to adjust the difficulty according to the participating child’s age.
Adding a time limit or a reward for reaching the goal can make it even more thrilling and exciting! Since the key is collaborating with a guardian, we recommend puzzles that you can think through together and overcome as a team.
Mochi Pounding Festival

Perfect for a January event! Let us introduce a mochi-pounding festival.
Many people may know about the culture of mochitsuki (mochi pounding), but have never actually tried it.
This time, let’s host a mochi-pounding event that everyone from children to adults can join! Watching authentic mochi pounding up close is quite powerful, so please be careful to ensure children don’t get overexcited and hurt themselves.
Also, since the mochi can be hot, take care to prevent burns while running the event.
It’s a great chance to learn about Japanese culture!
Clapping Fantasy

Let me introduce a lively performance that uses your own hands: Clapping Fantasy, which is also featured in elementary school music textbooks.
You’ll clap along to the instruments.
Try getting everyone to clap in unison, or split into clapping and non-clapping parts for variety.
The instrument can be a piano, a recorder, or a keyboard harmonica.
You can even swap handclaps for castanets or bells to make it even more fun.
When the clapping and instruments come together, both the audience and the children performing will feel their excitement rise.
Kids Flea Market

How about having the kids run a flea market by themselves? There are lots of items like children’s clothes and toys that quickly become too small or no longer age-appropriate, yet feel too good to throw away.
Let the kids take the lead in selecting items and setting prices, with other children as the customers.
It’s a great activity that teaches valuing things and the importance of money.
Festivals and temple fairs

Recommended for summer events! Introducing festivals and fair stalls.
In summer, local festivals and fireworks displays often feature traditional fair booths.
How about an event where you enjoy the festival and fair together with the children? It would be great if each booth were planned by parents so that both kids and adults can have fun.
For example, serve dishes like curry and yakisoba, and offer activities like origami and puzzle-solving.
Let’s create a handmade festival with a variety of ideas and make lasting memories.
Paper Airplane Contest

Perfect for events in gyms or halls! Let’s introduce a paper airplane contest.
Many children are probably good at making paper airplanes.
Try hosting a contest where participants compete for distance with their own original folding styles and carefully crafted planes.
Prepare several types of paper, and let participants decorate their creations with pens or stickers to make it even more exciting.
You could also award medals based on rankings to add an extra thrill.
Number guessing game

No tools or prep needed! Here’s a “Number Guessing Game” everyone can enjoy while moving their bodies.
Gather several people in a circle, and one person calls out numbers.
The others can freely choose to stand or sit and move accordingly.
If the number called matches the number of people standing, that person wins.
The rules are simple and easy to understand, so even young children can have fun.
Since the only actions are standing and sitting, it’s great for getting some physical activity even in a small space! You can play it anytime you have a moment to spare, so feel free to try it out.
Illusion Dance

If adults are going to take the lead in putting on a performance, how about showcasing an illusion dance? An illusion dance involves wearing a costume split into right and left colors and simply moving, which makes it look like you’re doing very mysterious motions.
So even people who aren’t good at dancing will be fine.
The quirky movements are sure to be a hit with the kids!
true-or-false quiz

It’s perfect even with a big crowd! Try adding a True-or-False Quiz to your program so everyone can participate equally and have fun.
The rules are super simple: listen to the question and decide whether it’s true or false.
If it’s true, wear your hat with the red side; if it’s false, wear it with the white side.
With red-and-white hats, any child can join the game easily.
It’s also fun to take some time for everyone to discuss whether it’s true or false.
Prepare some funny questions and a few tricky ones to get the whole venue excited!
