Double Dutch with two ropes
Double Dutch, which uses two ropes, has a different kind of dynamism from regular jump rope and really gets everyone excited! The turners swing each rope from the left and right, and the jumper goes in between, jumps, exits, and can even add tricks.
When entering, keep the rhythm as if you’re reaching to catch the rope, and step into the center between the ropes.
Jump lightly, just like with regular long-rope jumping.
When exiting, if you’ve jumped an odd number of times, exit diagonally opposite from where you entered; if you’ve jumped an even number of times, exit on the same side you entered.
Practice well while being careful not to get injured, and show off your skills!
Unicycle master!
A unicycle is more challenging than a bicycle because it doesn’t have handlebars.
That’s exactly why people who can ride one look so impressive! It’s also a perfect idea to show off as a hidden talent.
The key to riding a unicycle is to focus on moving forward from your navel.
Start by simply pedaling straight, then gradually try turning and taking curves.
Performing solo is great, but forming a team with a few people and presenting a dance-like routine to music is also highly recommended! Give it a try!
A classroom-relatable skit
There are certain things at school that make everyone go, “So true!” right? Like the crushing sleepiness after school lunch or after swimming class, or the way the person whose attendance number matches the date always gets called on… How about putting on a short skit that showcases those school ‘relatable moments’? It’s a great idea to include not only things every elementary school student has probably experienced, but also quirks unique to your own school.

Flash mobs that bring unexpected emotion to proposals and parties are a tempting choice for entertainment.
Yamauchi from the comedy duo Kamaitachi pulled off a huge gag by attempting a flash mob all by himself at his partner Hamaie’s wedding.
We wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re very brave… Since it’s mainly dancing, it may require a longer practice period than other performances.
It’s reassuring if you have a few people with dance experience.
For company events, it might be fun to divide into teams—like a junior team and a veteran team—and perform that way!
Kappa Plate Ball-Carrying Race
It’s also great to use paper plates at the party venue for an obstacle-course-style game! If you’ve got a large space, the excitement doubles.
Balance a paper plate on your head, hold it in place with your hands, and put a ping-pong ball on top.
The winner is the person who finishes with the most ping-pong balls still on their plate after clearing all the obstacles.
Simple obstacles made from tables and chairs are plenty.
Even just doing one lap around the venue along the walls works well.
You can customize the obstacles in many ways—like greeting the department head or playing rock-paper-scissors with a junior colleague.
Don’t forget to prepare classic sports day-style background music to play during the game!
Science show
As people grow older, there may be those who become good at science and those who struggle with it.
However, humans have an intellectual curiosity that makes us want to know what we don’t know.
Children are very straightforward in responding to that curiosity.

Kirin, Asahi, Suntory—just hearing those names is irresistible to beer lovers, right? So instead of a sake tasting, how about a beer tasting or even a juice tasting competition to liven things up? Even the same orange juice can taste subtly different depending on the brand.
And that canned coffee you sip without thinking—if you taste it seriously, you’ll find it’s completely different from others.
At a party with lots of dishes, you could even do blindfolded tastings and try to guess the foods—that’s sure to get everyone excited.
If you usually act like a gourmet, make sure not to show any uncool moments!
Hige Dance
The “Hige Dance,” famously featured on the show It’s 8 O’Clock! Everyone Gather! (Hachiji da yo! Zen’in Shūgō!), which starred Cha Kato and Ken Shimura.
Performers wear black tailcoats and small mustaches, then dance to the rhythm and show off various tricks.
Since Hige Dance performers are basically silent, they react using facial expressions and gestures.
Combined with the comical look, it becomes fun to watch and makes you laugh.
