Games to Play on Children’s Day: A Collection of Family-Friendly Ideas (41–50)
Jump into a rock-paper-scissors game!

The “Rock-Paper-Scissors Jump Game,” which combines rock-paper-scissors with jumping, is a playful activity that helps children learn how to use their bodies while potentially improving their athletic ability.
Create waiting spots on the left and right, and have participants play rock-paper-scissors with the person next to them.
The winner then jumps while moving from their current waiting spot to the one on the opposite side.
It’s a simple game that repeats this process, so any child old enough to play rock-paper-scissors can join.
For the jumping styles, start with a “rock” jump keeping both feet together, then move to a “scissors” jump.
After that, switch to a gallop and finally to a “paper” jump.
A dice game anyone can enjoy
Match the numbers without touching the dice! A product called “Jumping Dice” is being introduced, but it seems you could substitute colorful dice, cards, and even empty capsules from capsule toys.
How about enjoying a handmade dice game? The rules are: put three different-colored dice into separate capsules, then shake the capsules to match the colors and numbers shown on a card drawn from the deck.
Once you’ve matched them, press the bell placed in the center of the table with your palm.
It’s a simple but exciting game.
Pose Matching Game

This is a game where someone gives a prompt like “When you think of ◯◯, what comes to mind?” and everyone matches by striking a pose.
For example, if the prompt is “When you think of baseball?”, there are poses like pitcher, batter, catcher, etc.
If everyone picks the same pose, it’s a big success! Can your team become one in spirit and get in sync? It might be a game that tests your everyday chemistry!
Catching tissues with a party blower

You know those party blowers that shoot out a long paper tongue when you blow them and curl back up when you stop, like a chameleon’s tongue? This is a game where you try to catch a tissue dropped from a height using one of those.
Because tissues are so light, their movement is unpredictable, which makes the game exciting.
Plus, the silly sound the blower makes always makes you laugh.
Hyakunin Isshu

It’s a game where you try to grab the card with the recited waka poem before your opponent does.
While it’s a traditional pastime, it’s also a popular competitive sport with national tournaments.
It’s a two-for-one game that’s fun as a contest and doubles as a way to learn history.
True-or-False Quiz

True-or-false quizzes, which can be answered with a simple circle or cross, are easy for everyone from small children to adults to join, and the limited choices make them intriguingly challenging even for grown-ups.
From questions related to Tango no Sekku (Boys’ Festival) to prompts that evoke Children’s Day, you can learn about tradition while having fun with the game.
Of course, creating quizzes around your child’s favorite themes is sure to be a hit as well.
Even if you can’t go out anywhere, time will fly—this is a recreation activity we hope the whole family will try together.
Umaibō Sommelier

How about trying a “Umaibo Sommelier” game you can enjoy as a quiz? Umaibo is famous for its wide variety of flavors.
In this game, you eat a randomly selected Umaibo while blindfolded and try to guess the flavor.
It gets even more exciting if you include some less common flavors.
You can also consider getting the official item released for flavor-guessing games, “Stick Party.” Since one stick can be shared among multiple people, you won’t need to buy a large quantity.
