Games to Play on Children's Day: A Collection of Family-Friendly Ideas (51–60)
Pig’s tail

Let me introduce a card game called Pig’s Tail.
Spread the playing cards face down in a circle.
Decide the order of play, then flip cards in turn and place them in the center.
If the same suit appears as the previously placed card, the player who flipped it must take all the cards that have been placed so far.
Then resume the game and repeat the same process.
If a Joker appears, the player who flipped it may return the cards in their hand to the center pile.
Keep drawing until all cards have been played; the player with the fewest cards at the end wins.
Give it a try!
ring toss

Prepare prizes like favorite toys and candies, then throw rings at them; if a ring lands on one, you win it.
Prizes that are about the size a ring can fit over work well.
If you put the prizes in capsules so you can’t see what’s inside, it’ll make the game even more exciting! There might even be a dud in there!
Card-flipping race

Here’s a fun, active card-flipping race.
Prepare 20 to 30 round cards made by sticking white paper on one side and black paper on the other.
Split into two teams—White and Black—with equal numbers of players.
Lay the cards out randomly, then within a set time limit, flip the cards to your team’s color.
Since the goal is to flip as many cards as possible within the time limit, the team that flips more cards wins! You can also increase the number of cards or change the colors to make it even more exciting.
Crash Ice Game

Careful not to drop the penguin in the middle! Let me introduce the Crash Ice Game.
It’s perfect for when you want to get excited and feel the thrill.
Set up the ice blocks and use the included hammers to tap the blocks little by little.
The rules are simple: whoever makes the penguin placed in the center fall loses! It can be played by 2 to 4 people, and it’s fun for both kids and adults.
Since it doesn’t require special strategies or techniques, it’s easy to jump in and play—that’s part of the charm.

Jenga

Jenga is a thrilling balance game you can enjoy with family and friends, where not only technique but sometimes luck plays a role.
Players take turns removing one block at a time from a stacked tower and placing it on top; the person who causes the tower to collapse loses.
There are many variations, such as Jenga Extreme with rhombus-shaped pieces, versions with different sizes, sets with instructions written on the pieces, and ones played in combination with included dice or cards.
Creating your own original rules can be fun, too!
Straw Game

It’s a game where you match randomly placed number or picture cards, but just matching cards would be boring.
In this game, you suck up one card with a straw, carry it over to its matching card, and place it to make the match.
If you line them up correctly, you’re good—but if you accidentally blow instead, the card will fly away and everything gets scattered, so try not to burst out laughing!
Tyrol Chocolate Flavor Guessing Game

With its wide variety of flavors, Tirol Chocolate has long been a favorite treat among children.
Because there are so many kinds, playing a blindfolded flavor-guessing game is especially fun—you can’t easily narrow down the answer.
Even with flavors you usually eat, you’ll be surprised how hard it becomes when you can’t see them, which makes it enjoyable for adults to join in as well.
It’s a perfect Children’s Day recreation using sweets, so if you can’t go out, give it a try at home.
