Next, fold the two edges on the left side in toward the center crease.

Rotate the paper so the white triangular section is at the top, then fold the bottom corner up to meet the top corner.

Flip the paper over and fold the top corner down to meet the bottom edge.

Only fold the top layer.

Fold down the newly made crease by about 5 mm, then flip the paper over again.

Finally, fold any parts that stick out from the triangle inward, and you’re done.

Let’s make a Christmas-themed gift box! First, fold the origami paper in half to make a rectangle.

Crease well, then unfold it, and fold the top and bottom edges inward by about 1 cm.

Flip the paper over, and fold the top and bottom edges toward the center crease.

Rotate the paper so it’s vertical, then fold back the two corners at the bottom center outward.

Use the two corners of the rectangle, and make sure the folded-back sections form scalene triangles.

Flip the paper over and fold up the bottom edge by about 1.5–2 cm.

Swap the top and bottom and do the same on the other side.

Finally, fold up the bottom so the paper becomes a square and glue it in place to finish!
