[Easy] A roundup of perfect origami ideas for Christmas (21–30)
A house with a chimney

I’ll show you how to make a very simple house with a chimney using just one sheet of origami paper! First, cut one sheet of origami paper in half.
We’ll use only one half.
Turn it vertically and fold it in half.
Unfold it, then fold it in half horizontally.
Open it, and fold the top half down to the center crease.
Next, flip it over and fold about one third from the bottom.
Open the folded tip into a pocket and squash it into a triangle.
Fold the corners of the triangle in so they meet the center line, then fold the bottom section up so that the upper triangle sticks out a little to form the chimney.
Fold the rectangular section diagonally in half.
Apply some glue, turn it to the front, and your cute little house is complete! Drawing your favorite designs on the house makes it even cuter.
sleigh

Here’s how to make a simple sled using a single sheet of origami paper! First, fold the paper into a triangle.
Fold about 1 centimeter inward, then flip it over.
Next, fold the corners up to meet the top edge.
Flip it over again.
Tuck the top layer inside, then fold the next top layer slightly inward.
Fold it to the back, and you’re done.
You can decorate the finished sled, and it looks cute with an origami Santa, reindeer, or presents on top.
Try getting creative and making all kinds of versions!
reindeer

Let’s make and play together! Here’s a Christmas origami reindeer! Using brown-toned origami paper, we’ll fold a reindeer that’s the perfect companion for Santa.
Don’t forget its splendid antlers.
Draw the eyes and mouth with a pen.
Once your reindeer is finished, try decorating different spots around the room.
It will instantly boost the Christmas spirit.
Making them with family or friends will surely become a fun memory, too.
Enjoy the holiday mood through origami!
poinsettia

The red flower often used as a Christmas decoration, the poinsettia—let’s make it with origami to add a festive touch! Prepare three small red origami sheets and three small green ones.
Use each sheet to create petal and leaf parts.
Combine the finished parts and tape them together to form the flower shape and the large leaves, and you’ll have a completed poinsettia.
For an added touch, we recommend placing a small yellow round sticker in the center.
If you display lots of poinsettias together and mix them with other crafts, your room will look even more vibrant.
Lucky Star

Known overseas as a lucky star that grants wishes, this is a popular craft.
It also makes a perfect Christmas decoration, so try making some with different wishes in mind! First, cut origami paper into long, narrow strips and attach them end to end to make one long strip.
Then fold it diagonally from one end to the other in sequence.
In the end, adjust it so it forms a pentagon.
Next, gently insert your fingers along the edges and puff it up so the whole shape becomes rounded, then tweak it into a star shape—and you’re done! You can stick lots of them on the wall as is, or connect them with thread to make a garland.
Try using origami paper in various colors!
ribbon

I’ll show you how to fold a ribbon using a single sheet of origami paper! First, fold the paper in half.
Unfold it and fold each side to the center crease.
Fold that in half again.
Fold it in half horizontally, then in half vertically to make creases, open it up, and puff it into a pocket to form a triangle.
Match the edges and fold, then fold the corners into small triangles.
Finally, while pulling the ends, squash the center triangle, open the pocket on the back, and use scissors to trim it into a ribbon shape.
You’re done!
A snowman that folds after 7 times plus 4 times

Let’s make seven snowmen and four hats.
For the hats, use origami paper that is one quarter the size of the snowman’s paper.
We’ll start with the snowman: with the colored side facing up, fold the paper in half by bringing the top and bottom edges together, crease well, then unfold.
Next, fold the bottom edge up to the crease, and fold the top edge down so it aligns about 1 cm above the crease.
Flip the paper over, fold the left and right edges together to make a center crease, then fold both the left and right edges in to meet that crease.
Finally, fold all four corners inward, and the snowman is complete! Now for the hat: fold the paper into a triangle.
Fold the top corner of the triangle down to meet the bottom edge, then fold both the left and right edges up to align with the top edge.
That completes the hat.
Glue the two together and draw a face on the snowman to finish.
Make it with origami! Pinecone wreath
It’s an idea for a wreath made not with real pinecones, but with pinecones crafted from origami.
First, crumple the origami paper once to add wrinkles and texture.
Then cut it in half, glue the pieces so they form a wide rectangle, and fold it in half so the top and bottom edges overlap.
Make fine slits along the looped edge, then roll it up tightly to complete the pinecone.
Make the leaves and red berries from origami as well.
Finally, attach the leaves to a wreath base made from thick cardstock, and decorate it with the pinecones and red berries to finish.
Make it big and you can wear it! An origami Santa hat

What kind of impression do you have of origami? Paper cranes? A fun pastime? In fact, origami is so popular that there’s even an organization called the Japan Origami Academic Society, and believe it or not, there’s a world championship too.
So how about making a Santa hat out of origami? Fold it small and it can become a Christmas decoration or a card accent; fold it large and you can actually wear it! There are tutorial videos, so even first-timers can feel at ease.
If you plan to wear it, using slightly thicker construction paper is recommended.
You could also make one from newspaper and decorate it with colored paper!
Origami Boots Advent Calendar

A Christmas stocking advent calendar is a festive idea that also works as a wall decoration.
Make the stockings with origami and tuck individually wrapped candies into the pocket-like part.
Write the dates with a pen, add holly made from another small piece of origami, and it’s done! The stockings only take a few folds, so even kids can give it a try.
The holly here is made with small origami paper and red round stickers, but you can also draw it or use other stickers.
Making the stockings in several colors will make the display even more vibrant.
