This easy craft uses a paper cup to represent the tree’s base and trunk, and can be made in just a few steps.

Apply double-sided tape around the entire paper cup, then wrap yarn from the bottom to the top.

Attach pom-poms with glue and add a star made from origami paper, then finish by decorating with a ribbon.

Simply changing the yarn color or the types of pom-poms allows for a variety of arrangements.

Let’s make an easy party cracker with a paper cup for Christmas parties and more! Punch a small hole in the bottom of a paper cup.

Cut eight slits around the rim and use a pen to curl them.

Thread a rubber band through the hole in the bottom and secure it with a small piece of chopped disposable chopstick.

Attach a weight made of aluminum foil to the part of the rubber band sticking out.

Then just put cotton balls or confetti inside and you’re done! Pull the aluminum foil, and the contents will pop out!

Let’s decorate paper cups you have at home and make handmade bells you can enjoy the sound of! First, cut out colored construction paper to wrap around the outside of the cup.

Attach it to the outside with double-sided tape, then make a hole in the center of the cup’s bottom.

Bundle some craft bells with fishing line (monofilament) and secure them with a pipe cleaner, then thread it through from the inside of the cup.

Shape the pipe cleaner into a loop, attach a ribbon tied in a bow, and you’re done.

It’s also fun to draw illustrations on the outside of the cup or add stickers for extra flair!

I’ll show you how to make a paper cup cake! You’ll need paper cups, scissors, construction paper, double-sided tape, glue, tissue paper, and decorative materials like washi tape or felt balls.

First, use a paper cup as a template and cut a circle out of the construction paper with scissors.

Next, cut about 3 cm off from the rim of the paper cup.

Apply double-sided tape around the edge of the cut-out circle.

Fold a sheet of tissue paper and place it in the bottom of the paper cup, then put the construction paper circle on top and stick it down.

This will be the cream part of the cake, so finish by decorating your cake with washi tape, felt balls, and any other decorations you like!

Here’s how to make a peekaboo puppet using paper cups.

You’ll need one paper cup with a Santa Claus picture and one with a reindeer picture, five straws, construction paper, cellophane tape, scissors, and a hole punch or similar tool.

First, punch holes in the bottom and on both sides of the reindeer cup so straws can pass through.

Insert straws into the three holes with the accordion sections facing upward.

Gather the tops of the three straws and tape them together, then trim the straws sticking out on the left and right to make them shorter.

Take two more straws and cut them short, leaving the accordion sections intact.

Insert those into the left and right straws.

Punch a hole in the bottom of the other cup large enough for the bundled three straws to pass through, and insert them.

Finally, attach paper gloves made from construction paper—and you’re done! You can also have fun by drawing your own original Santa and reindeer designs.

Advent calendar

Speaking of Christmas, many people look forward to Advent calendars! Here, we’ll show you a simple way to make one.

You’ll need 25 paper cups, a backing board to stick the cups on, glue or double-sided tape, and number stickers.

To make it, put the number stickers on the paper cups, then use glue or double-sided tape to attach the cups to the backing board—that’s it! You can easily create your own number stickers by downloading free materials and printing them on label paper.

Try making different kinds of stickers and have fun with it!

Let me introduce a sled toy you can make with paper cups! The materials are: paper cups, colored construction paper or origami paper, two popsicle sticks, writing tools, and wood glue.

Here’s how to make it: First, cut the paper cup into the shape of a sled.

Don’t throw away the leftover piece—you’ll use it too.

Shape the paper cup into a sled and glue on the popsicle sticks.

Cut out the bottom of the leftover cup, draw a picture of Santa Claus on it, and cut around the drawing.

After coloring it, secure it with tape and attach it to the sled.

Wrap acorns or similar small items in colored cellophane and stick the bundle behind Santa.

Finally, decorate the sled with stickers or washi tape, and you’re done!
