Primarily active in Tokyo, I have experience as a backup dancer for artists, a music video dancer, and a commercial dancer. I continue to work as a dancer while also engaging in article production. After discovering Michael Jackson in junior high school, I began dancing in my second year of high school. Since starting dance, in addition to the J-Pop and Japanese rock I had been listening to, I began exploring Western R&B, rap, alternative music, and other tracks commonly used for dance. In elementary school, I spent three years in a choir, and because I love singing, I often go to karaoke for fun. These days, I enjoy a wide range of music, from Japanese rock and rap to K-pop.

I think many people get hooked on music through PVs and MVs they see in city ads or online.

These days, visuals are an essential part of music.

This time, I researched songs that feature dances reputed to be “cool!” You can see each artist’s unique performances, expressions, and group identity, and they all turn out really stylish.

This video piece, which won the MTV Best Dance Video award, evokes a dreamy aesthetic that feels like watching an early-’80s music video.

While today’s formats often cater to tablets with sizes like 1:1.55, it deliberately uses the old-school 4:3 CRT aspect ratio.

The vocalist, Ichiro Yamaguchi, dressed in a pure white suit reminiscent of Kiyotaka Sugiyama, performs deliberately outdated choreography.

Does the title, “Wasurerarenai no” (I Can’t Forget), look back on those days? It’s a meticulously crafted music video that’s quintessentially Sakanaction.
