Interesting Attractions (11–20)
Trick Art Exhibition

How about preparing an exhibition with a trompe-l’oeil (trick art) theme and trying an attraction where visitors can step into each artwork and take photos? Using actual pieces displayed at trick art exhibitions and tutorials on how to create trick art as references, let’s produce an original trick art piece! The class can unite to make one large-scale trick art, or prepare many small trick art setups—either approach works.
If visitors take photos and share them on social media, it could also serve as promotion!
Laputa Shooting Range
@kazuyo_dayo One year ago, we made a Laputa-themed shooting gallery for our school’s cultural festival.#CardboardCraftsCultural Festival#LaputaKazuyo

Almost everyone has seen the film Castle in the Sky.
How about creating a shooting gallery that recreates its world? For example, you could model the guns after the designs that appear in the movie.
Make the targets famous characters.
You could also recreate and display memorable characters and items.
Try to design it so people feel like they’ve stepped into the work itself! Or you could adapt this idea and build a shooting gallery themed on another title—that would be fun too.
Challenge bicycle power generation

Let’s try creating a system that can generate electricity with a bicycle.
If we make it open to anyone to join, display the generated power in real time, and actually use that electricity to run devices like lamps or sound-making gadgets, it’s sure to be a hit! A system that uses bicycle-generated power to charge smartphones could also be great as part of eco-friendly activities.
Cosplay Photo Studio

We will lend costumes to customers, take photos with a camera, and give them the resulting pictures.
Of course, a Polaroid camera works, but using a smartphone or computer lets us provide higher-quality, clearer photos.
For costumes, ask the drama club for help, buy from thrift stores, or prepare them through online shopping.
As for a changing area, simply partition the classroom with curtains and you’re all set!
Find the real Wally!

This is a school-wide event.
Instead of searching for Waldo in a picture book, let’s find him in the real world! The “Waldo” could be a teacher or students in costume—there are lots of variations.
Rather than just spotting them, you could give out prizes when participants find the hidden targets around the school, or, if you have several targets, you could make it a stamp rally.
That could be fun too.
stamp rally

It might be a fairly familiar choice for a school festival attraction, but a stamp rally is also a great option.
You might think, “I’ll just get one stamp as a memento,” but before you know it, you feel like you won’t be satisfied unless you complete them all! Put your creativity to work and give it a try.
rickshaw

You often see rickshaws in tourist spots.
How about incorporating them into your school or cultural festival? It seems you can rent them, so please look into it.
If you get creative with the costumes and pull a rickshaw, you’re sure to be the center of attention.
Students in charge should build up their stamina well before the festival!
