Let It GoIdina Menzel

FROZEN | Let It Go Sing-along | Official Disney UK
Let It GoIdina Menzel

A smash-hit song that sparked a global “Frozen” craze.

Many Disney songs have versions in different languages, but in Japan the original version also became so popular that kids sang “Let it go, let it go.” Even without lyrics, the piano melody alone brings that scene right back to life.

Can You Feel The Love TonightKristle Edwards

A love song used in The Lion King during the scene where the protagonist, Simba, reunites with his childhood friend Nala and they fall in love.

It was originally a song performed only by his friends Timon and Pumbaa, but to avoid treating the grand love song in a comedic manner, it was sung off-screen by Kristle Edwards.

You’ll be in My HeartPhil Collins

Phil Collins – You’ll Be In My Heart with Lyrics
You'll be in My HeartPhil Collins

The theme song of Tarzan, the story of a human child raised by gorillas who meets humans for the first time and discovers the world.

The tune has a manly, refreshing feel while conveying strength, making it very pleasant to listen to.

While Tarzan as a character is somewhat less popular than other Disney characters, the song itself is widely used—often in arranged form—in Disney medleys and beyond.

If I Didn't Have You (from “Monsters, Inc.”)
Without youRandy Newman/Hirohashi Makiko

Among the films produced by Disney and Pixar, this is the theme song from the highly popular Monsters, Inc.

Am I the only one who feels the vibe is similar to Toy Story’s “You’ve Got a Friend in Me”? Maybe it’s the jazzy style, but for some reason I want to listen to it quietly at night.

A monster might even show up while you’re sleeping.

That was “If I Didn’t Have You” from the well-known piano collection for when you want to be soothed, Relaxing Piano ~Best~ Disney Collection.

Casey JuniorVarious Artists

I can’t think of it off the top of my head, but many people have probably heard this famous song from Dumbo at least once.

The title, “Casey Junior,” is the name of the train that appears in Dumbo.

The rhythmic tempo of the wind and string instruments excites listeners.

In conclusion

This time, we featured classical arrangements of beloved songs from Disney and Pixar.

Of course, these arrangements are built on the original tunes, but purely orchestral performances—or renditions on just piano or guitar—are wonderful in their own right.

The demand for classical arrangements feels strong too, with official Disney concerts like Disney on Classic touring regularly.

There are also some unique arrangements out there, and some even have published sheet music, so if you play an instrument, you can enjoy performing them yourself.

There are still many pieces we haven’t introduced yet, so have fun discovering your favorite arrangements!
