Songs whose titles start with “Do” – Solo Karaoke / Song-Title Shiritori

There are lots of words that start with “do,” like “Don’t,” “Dream,” “doko” (where), and “drama.” In particular, there are many English words, and quite a few are used in song titles.

Virgin So YoungGOING STEADY

Released in 2002, this is the band’s fifth single—a youth punk anthem with 100% relatability.

The lyrics, aimed at all boys and men who’ve left their boyhood behind, leave a strong impression.

It delivers the surging emotions of adolescence with unflinching directness.

It feels incredibly real, and the phrases—things everyone has felt—grab you.

It’s so true-to-life that listeners can’t help but nod along.

DOCTORLiSA

DOCTOR -LiVE is Smile Always ~PiNK & BLACK~ at Nippon Budokan 'Choco Donuts'-
DOCTORLiSA

It’s a hard rock number that reveals a precarious love affair.

It’s a track by the anisong singer LiSA—also known for the massive hit “Gurenge”—and it’s included on her 2013 album LANDSPACE.

The energetic sound and her vocals couldn’t be a better match! As for the relationship between the two people in the lyrics—what exactly is going on there? Perhaps it’s testing our imagination.

If you’re in the mood for something sultry, this is a must-listen!

DON’T TELL ME NOWNight Hawks

A four-piece band that debuted in 1989, centered around guitarist-singer Shuichi Aoki from Otaru, Hokkaido.

Aoki, with an imposing, larger-than-life presence, delivers powerful vocals, and their hallmark is a burnished, old-school sound rooted firmly in 1970s hard rock—distinct from the heavier and faster heavy metal pursued since the ’80s.

The band also features their sole female member, guitarist Chie Iwashita, whose exquisite backing vocals and fluid guitar work are highlights.

Her twin-lead interplay with Aoki is spot on.

With a rock-solid rhythm section providing a strong foundation, this is a band I highly recommend to anyone who wants to hear authentic hard rock woven from a robust band ensemble.

Don’t Test MeSATORU Prod.MFDP

Rapper SATORU, who gained popularity through Breaking Down, tends to be treated as something of a novelty in the hip-hop scene because of that episode.

But among heads, he’s actually known as a particularly talented figure in Japan’s drill music scene.

His track “Don’t Test Me” is one of his signature works.

His voice is unbelievably good, and even with a simple flow he shines overwhelmingly.

It’s a song I’d love to hear performed by a man with a low, husky voice like his.

The Clown’s MelancholyTHE STREET SLIDERS

This track, whose husky vocals sink into your chest, is The Street Sliders’ “Dokeshi no Yuuutsu” (“The Clown’s Melancholy”).

It’s a beautiful ballad with a dry, aching guitar sound.

A classic you’ll want to play in those moments of sudden loneliness on a tipsy walk home.

It’s included on the album “Ganjigarame.”

DrainTreow(gyaku-shoudou P)

"Blindness" ELECTROCUTICA ft. Vocaloid Hatsune Miku / Megurine Luka
DrainTreow(gyaku-shoudou P)

Starting with an eerie atmosphere, this track is the very definition of autumn horror.

The melody evokes the feeling of a deranged doll, and the lyrics instill fear.

Highly recommended for those who enjoy scary songs.

The female Vocaloid voice further amplifies the creepiness.

It’s a track I’d recommend to seasoned listeners familiar with Vocaloid.

If you’re sensitive to scary content, please be cautious.

Donut Hole (I tried singing it)ribu

They have been posting videos since 2010, and although the total number of uploads is still under 100, they are a singer with quite a large fanbase.

They are also focusing on production: the song Tsukiyō -Tsukiakari-, created with Mikito-P, was selected as their first-ever movie theme song.
