How to play dominoes. Domino games that don't involve knocking them down, too!

Speaking of dominoes, they’re the toy you line up and topple over! It’s fun to set up a long line of dominoes and knock them down all at once, and if they all fall perfectly, you get a real sense of accomplishment.

There are many ways to play with dominoes, like creating domino art.

You can also enjoy strategic games using domino tiles, known as dominoes.

In these games, you typically connect tiles with matching numbers and compete for points.

The rules might be a bit hard to learn at first, but once you try, it’s really fun—give it a go! Find the style of domino play you like best.

Bruna Domino

Bruna Domino: How to Play and Rules for the Card Game
Bruna Domino

Many dominos come as block sets with numbers, but “Bruna Domino” is a card-type domino.

Instead of numbers, it uses pictures, so even children who can’t read numbers yet can play.

The rules are simple! Deal cards to each player and decide the turn order.

Place the first card, then, in turn, add a card whose picture matches the picture at either end of the line.

The first player to run out of cards wins.

The rules are simple, so be sure to try it with your family and friends!

Judge Domino

Fukuhana’s Board Game Intro: No. 561 “Judge Domino”
Judge Domino

This is a game where you earn points by successfully making a “judge” call on whether the dominoes will fall or not.

First, gather the dominoes numbered 1–10 in one place.

Once you decide the order in which to stand them up, place the 6 domino and start the game! Choose one domino you like from the gathered set and begin setting them up in a line.

When someone says “Judge,” it’s judging time.

Decide whether the dominoes will fall or won’t fall, then topple the domino with the smallest number.

If all the dominoes fall, the players who chose “will fall” get points; if even one domino does not fall, the players who chose “won’t fall” get points.

The player with the most points at the end wins!

In conclusion

We introduced games and activities that use dominoes! Did you find one you like? As we mentioned, dominoes are fun for everyone, from kids to adults.

It’s enjoyable just to knock them down, and competing for points can be great too.

Enjoy dominoes in the way that suits you best!
