Drop-in game with a straw

“Straw drop” is a type of therapeutic play that supports children’s development.
Through this activity, kids can build fine motor skills and concentration.
By grasping straws and dropping them into holes, they also enhance hand–eye development and observation skills.
Recognizing colors and shapes and developing an interest in numbers stimulate their senses and cognitive abilities, making this a recommended support tool.
It also gives children a sense of achievement.
Since they can learn while having fun, try making your own version and enjoy it together with the kids!
10 Musical Instruments Made from Plastic Bottles

Musical instruments can produce all kinds of sounds and are fascinating, but many people may feel hesitant to buy a lot when they’re not sure how much they’ll actually use them.
Here, we’ll introduce many instruments you can make using plastic bottles.
For example, castanets made by attaching plastic bottle caps to cardboard, a whistle made by punching a hole in a cap and inserting a straw, and even instruments with different pitches just by letting the air out of a plastic bottle.
There are also plastic bottle drums and a “petphone,” made by connecting plastic bottles cut to various lengths.
Use these as references and give it a try!
A log house made of paper straws

Let’s make your very own special treasure chest! Here’s an idea for a paper-straw log house.
Do you have treasured items like precious memories or pretty stones? This time, let’s use paper straws to create a treasure box that looks like a log house.
What you’ll need: paper straws, glue, a pen, scissors, and a ruler.
You can use white or colorful straws, but using kraft straws will give it a warm, log-house feel.
straw dragonfly

This is a handmade bamboo-copter (taketombo) made from a milk carton.
Cut the milk carton into strips and draw patterns on them with a pen.
Adding bright colors makes it look beautiful when it spins! Next, make a slit in a straw that will be the handle, and insert a milk carton piece folded in half.
Staple the inserted part securely, then fold the milk carton diagonally and spread the two sides to finish.
To make it spin well, put some tape on the tips of the milk carton to add a little weight—this is the key! Since it’s made from a soft milk carton, it’s safe to play with indoors.
knit scrunchie

Isn’t this a straw craft that both adults and children can enjoy? You can even make a proper “scrunchie,” an item that girls will love! Since the straw is only used as a core, it doesn’t look childish—it’s stylish and seems suitable for everyday use.

Nameplate

A cute name tag—this one is made from straws.
Use a wider straw in clear and your favorite color, plus a thinner straw.
Cut a single slit in the clear straw.
Cut origami paper to the size of the straw, then write a name, stamp it, or decorate it with stickers.
Roll up the origami and insert it inside the straw, then insert the colored straw and the thin straw in that order.
Thread a strap cord through the thin straw, decorate with beads, and tie the cord to your preferred length to finish.
It’s so easy you’ll want to make lots—for your friends, too!
