Change a playing card in an instant

Change a playing card in an instant

It’s that magic trick where you choose any card and return it anywhere in the deck, yet somehow your card ends up on top.

Even though the deck is shuffled several times after the card is returned, the magician actually uses a technique called a break to keep track of where the card was placed.

Since they always know the position of the returned card no matter how many shuffles happen, they can reveal it.

At the end, it looks like the wrong card instantly changes into another card, but in reality they’re just flipping over two cards that are stuck together.

A card-guessing trick where you think they’re off, but they nail it

A lovely magic trick where you think it’s a miss, but a twist awaits at the end.

You riffle the deck, ask the spectator to say “Stop!!,” and have them choose a card.

They memorize it, return it to the deck, and you shuffle.

Then the spectator shuffles as well.

At this point, nobody should know where the selected card is, but you say, “I think it’s within the top 15 cards,” and deal the top 15 cards from the deck onto the table in three rows of five.

You then turn them over one by one, asking, “Is this your card?” but it never appears.

However, after you’ve turned over the fourth card, you look at the table and see that the remaining face-down cards form the shape of the Ten of Hearts.

It seems like mind reading, but the method is simple: the initially selected Ten of Hearts was forced using a technique called a force.

You place the Ten of Hearts on top of the deck beforehand and subtly extract it after riffing the cards.

It’s a simple technique that produces a highly visual and impressive effect.

A card-guessing trick that seems like a failure but pulls off a dramatic comeback

A card-guessing trick that seems like a failure but pulls off a dramatic comeback

You have the spectator remember the card at the point where they said “stop,” then you thoroughly shuffle the deck without using a break or anything.

Naturally, it seems impossible to know where the card went.

The magician then says, “Is it this one?” and shows a series of candidate cards, all of which are wrong.

Just when it looks like the trick has failed, the wrong cards are gathered and held between the spectator’s fingers; you tap them so they fall away one by one, and somehow the remembered card is the last one remaining.

In reality, the card they remembered wasn’t the one at the stop point at all.

You only made it look that way by doing a swing cut—the selected card was actually on the bottom from the beginning.

You secretly mix that card into the ‘wrong’ packet without the spectator noticing, and finally reveal it as if it has just appeared.

A mysterious card trick you can do by following the steps

[Revealed] The ultimate self‑working magic, finally explained!! [Do it now and it’s insanely impressive]
A mysterious card trick you can do by following the steps

First, take a random packet from the deck and count how many cards it has.

Then, turn over that many cards from the remaining deck and remember the number on the card you land on.

After that, repeatedly split the deck and discard one half until only two cards remain.

The card you remembered earlier will still be on the table.

This trick uses the fact that a deck has 52 cards without jokers, so be very mindful of how you restack the packets after the spectator remembers the card and which half you set aside after each split.

It’s a type of self-working magic, so what matters most is following the procedure correctly rather than relying on sleight-of-hand.

The magic where the As that should have been put into bundles all gather together.

[645] [Do it right away] Easy, no-skill magic to learn over spring break [Four Aces]
The magic where the As that should have been put into bundles all gather together.

This is a magic trick where the Aces you supposedly placed separately end up gathering together! First, lay out the four Aces in a horizontal row.

On top of each Ace, place any three indifferent cards.

After placing them, have the spectator confirm that the Ace is at the bottom of each packet, then gather the packets into one stack.

Also have them confirm that the Aces appear every fourth card.

You’ll lay the cards out again, but this time secretly move the fifth card to the bottom of the stack.

This shifts the order by one, so the three Aces—except for the first one—will now be grouped in the third packet.

Next, stack the first and second packets on top so that the packet with the three Aces ends up at the very top.

Spread the cards by sliding them to show them, and casually insert the Ace from the fourth packet into the section where the three Aces are grouped.

That’s all it takes to make it look like the Aces have magically gathered together!

A card revelation that looks like the card changes on the spectator’s hand

A card revelation that looks like the card changes on the spectator’s hand

It’s a magic trick where it seems like a different card is placed on the hand, but when it’s flipped over, it has changed into the selected card.

The position of the selected card is controlled through the shuffle, and the number of cards turned is adjusted using a pinky break.

The timing when you make it seem like the selected card has gone into the discard pile, and the timing when you show the remaining cards, are especially important; you’re moving two cards at the same time, including the selected one.

After that, you pretend to place a different card onto the hand, but in reality you place the selected card—that’s the flow.
