[For Seniors] Fun Brain Training! Prefecture Quiz (1–10)
Guess from three clues

Do you know the “three-hint quiz”? Often, it’s a game where you guess a person from three clues, but it’s also fun if you change it to guessing a prefecture.
For example, a single-word hint like “Udon Prefecture” works, and so does a sentence hint like “The smallest area in Japan.” There aren’t strict rules, so it’s enjoyable to come up with your own hints and make your own questions.
Plus, it could be a good way to discover places you want to visit or foods you’d like to try.
Prefecture True-or-False Quiz

This is a simple quiz where participants answer true or false to questions about Japan’s prefectures.
Even if they don’t know the answer, they can still choose true or false, making it a quiz that more people can join.
It’s recommended to start with simple questions—such as where a prefecture is located or how large it is—and then progress to more complex ones involving figures like area and population.
In addition to questions about the prefectures themselves, including quizzes about local specialties and famous sights can help deepen participants’ interest and knowledge about those places.
Production Volume Quiz

This is a quiz about local specialties from across Japan.
We’ll present rankings based on production and catch volumes, and you’ll try to guess the prefectures that fit each spot.
Some specialties are overwhelmingly produced in a single prefecture, so you can start with those easy, standout cases—or you might deliberately aim for the prefectures ranked second and below.
In some cases, prefectures compete closely in output, and their rankings can swap from year to year, which makes it interesting to watch.
By looking at the rankings, considering what kinds of places tend to become known for certain specialties, and noting regional commonalities, let’s deepen our knowledge together.
Hiragana Rearrangement Quiz

Do you know what an anagram is? An anagram is a wordplay where you rearrange letters to form a word.
Building on that idea, there’s the “hiragana rearrangement quiz.” Here’s how it works: for example, if you have 「んいくふけ」, you can rearrange it to 「ふくいけん」, which means Fukui Prefecture.
Most likely, anyone can solve it if they think it through.
Try practicing so you can answer as quickly as possible.
Once you get used to it, you can challenge yourself with prompts that have more characters.
Prefecture Ranking Quiz

How much do you know about prefectures you’ve never lived in? Even if you’re well-versed in geography and history, there might be things you don’t actually know.
That’s why I’d like to introduce the “Prefecture Ranking Quiz.” In this quiz, you answer which prefecture ranks first in various categories—for example, a ranking of prefectures that seem to have the most wealthy people, or rankings of daikon radish consumption.
The lineup is wonderfully diverse, so it’s both educational and a great conversation starter.
