[For Seniors] Ping-Pong Ball Activities: A Variety of Fun Games Like Bingo, Target Shooting, and Relays (1–10)
Rolling Ball TossNEW!

This is a ball-toss game where you roll a ball along a long table.
Let’s have older adults gently roll ping-pong balls.
Set up a target at the far end of the table, opposite the older adults, so the ping-pong balls can go in.
You can use things like paper cups or plastic pen holders as the targets.
It’s also fine to assign point values to the targets.
Since the game uses lightweight ping-pong balls, there’s no worry about dropping them and getting hurt.
Ping-pong balls are easy for older adults to handle, so it should be an approachable game.
They’ll likely enjoy it every time a ball drops into a target—“That’s XX points!”
Ping-Pong PanNEW!

Light and bouncy ping-pong balls are perfect items for recreational activities for seniors.
Even a simple game of lightly tossing them can quickly turn into an enjoyable activity with a bit of creativity.
Place a target-like container on the table that can catch ping-pong balls.
From the opposite end of the table, try gently tossing the balls toward the target.
If you successfully land a ball in the target, you earn points.
Set higher points for sections of the target that are harder to land in.
Making it a team competition will likely get seniors even more excited.
Ping-Pong Ball Torch RelayNEW!
https://www.tiktok.com/@flapuuu/video/7185358871001566466A torch relay that lets you relive the excitement and emotion of the Olympics.
Like passing the Olympic flame, let older adults work together with those around them to carry ping-pong balls.
You can even make torches by attaching paper plates to the core of a plastic wrap roll.
Seat the older adults in a circle and use the torches to pass the ping-pong balls along.
Once they get used to one ball, try raising the difficulty by using two balls, and so on.
Since it’s a seated game, older adults who find standing difficult can also take part.
Ping-Pong Ball BingoNEW!

At recreation events or parties, you may have chances to play bingo.
Many older adults are probably familiar with bingo as well.
Let’s enjoy a different kind of game from the usual bingo using paper cups and ping-pong balls.
Arrange paper cups on a table in a 5-by-5 grid.
Stand in front of the lined-up cups and throw a ping-pong ball so that it bounces once before the cups.
If the ball then lands in a paper cup, you score 1 point.
You get 5 throws, and if you make three in a row vertically, horizontally, or diagonally, your score doubles.
Older adults, too, can focus, aim for the cups, and give it a try.
Ping-Pong Ball HockeyNEW!

It’s like the air hockey you see in arcades, but with a ping-pong ball—ping-pong ball hockey.
Build walls out of thick paper or cardboard around the table so the ping-pong ball doesn’t fall off.
Set up goals in front of the older adults seated at each end of the table.
Use anything flat—an eraser or whatever—to hit back the ping-pong ball when it comes your way.
And of course, be careful not to let the ball go into your goal.
It sounds like the kind of game that will draw cheers every time someone scores.
Playing ping-pong ball hockey will likely spark more conversation and shared laughter with the people around you.
Ping-Pong Ball Toss BattleNEW!

This is a ping-pong ball cup battle that really gets lively when you play in teams.
Not knowing the score until the end is enough to make seniors’ hearts race, isn’t it? Put point values on the bottoms of paper cups, then toss ping-pong balls into the cups.
Have the seniors sit on chairs arranged in a circle.
One by one, please throw a ping-pong ball into the paper cups placed in the center.
After all the balls have been thrown, compete by the total score of the points in the cups.
Even if you get more balls in, your team can still lose on points.
It keeps you on the edge of your seat until the scores are revealed.
Quick ping-pong ball paper cup stackingNEW!

This is a ping-pong recreation activity that lets you move your fingertips well.
Place ping-pong balls on a table and prepare several paper cups to cover them.
Starting from the cup at the end, take out each ball and place it on top of an upside-down paper cup in order.
The key is to carefully place the ping-pong ball so it doesn’t roll off the paper cup.
Since speed is also required, older adults are likely to get engrossed in the activity.
It can be done while sitting in a chair at a table, so you can try it casually.
