cat

In honor of Cat Day on February 22, here’s a simple origami cat idea! This version makes just the head.
First, fold the bottom corner up to meet the top corner to make a triangle.
Fold the top corner down to the base, then rotate the paper to flip it upside down.
Fold the left and right edges in to meet the base, then fold them back along those edges.
The parts sticking up are the cat’s ears.
After that, tuck in the corners to round out the face.
Finish by drawing a cute face!
Cat Message Card

During the Valentine’s season, giving a message of appreciation or some chocolate is sure to be a big hit.
Here’s a helpful way to fold a cat-shaped message card for just such occasions.
With the colored side facing inward, make creases while aligning the corners at the center.
Flip it over and fold the cat’s head and ears.
For the ears, gently puff the paper and fold them down, keeping the balance.
Tuck one side into the pocket to form the body, and shape the ear tips to a point—then it’s done.
Draw your favorite cat expression and give it as a present!
Cat trinket box

We’ll show you how to make a cat-shaped trinket box that’s soothing just to have on display.
Using a single sheet of origami paper, make firm horizontal and vertical creases as you fold.
When you inflate the paper and fold it into a triangle, carefully shape the box and the cat ears so they finish in a well-balanced way.
Once it’s done, fill it with candies or chocolates and give it as a small gift—it’s sure to be a hit.
Decorating it with round stickers or a ribbon is cute and highly recommended!
Heart wreath

Origami is perfect for playing at home during the cold season.
It builds concentration and makes your fingers more dexterous, too.
How about making a heart wreath that’s just right for Valentine’s Day using origami? It’s super easy to make: fold hearts and arrange them into a wreath shape.
Use colorful origami paper and you’ll have a unique and lovely creation like no other.
Make it with your children and it’ll become a fun memory as well.
Let’s warm both your room and your heart with a handmade wreath full of love.
Heart Tsuru

We’ll show you how to fold a heart crane using a single sheet of origami paper.
After making the creases, place the colored side on the inside, fold the corners of the square toward the center, and form a smaller square.
Then puff it into a triangle and fold only one side following the traditional crane steps.
Leave the reverse side as is to form the heart later.
Once you finish folding the crane, tidy up the shape, create the heart section, and you’re done! This heart crane is perfect as a Valentine’s origami gift—give it a try!
