Her signature tracks include “Kabutomushi,” “Boyfriend,” and “Kira Kira.” Jazz musician and critic Naruyoshi Kikuchi has praised Aiko as “the best singer of blue notes in Japan,” demonstrating the jazz elements in her singing.

She made her debut as a singer in 2016 and gradually built her popularity.

A music unit formed around Izumi Sakai that produced numerous signature and hit songs.

Among the Being-affiliated artists who dominated the J-POP scene in the 1990s, they were especially known for their high popularity thanks to their female vocalist lineup.

Their distinctive yet unadorned singing voice, paired with catchy tunes, captivated a wide range of listeners.

Although the group effectively disbanded following Izumi Sakai’s sudden passing in 2007, their songs continue to be loved to this day.

Salyu was discovered by music producer Takeshi Kobayashi and provided the vocals for songs in the 2001 film All About Lily Chou-Chou.

She made her solo debut in 2004 under the name salyu and began performing actively at music festivals such as ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL and ap bank fes.

In 2006, she released the single “to U” as part of Bank Band with Salyu alongside Kazutoshi Sakurai and others, which reached No.

2 on the Oricon Singles Chart.

Yo Hitoto made her debut in 2002 with “Morainaki,” and “Hanamizuki,” released in 2004, was also a huge hit.

At the time, her natural presence—singing barefoot on stage—and the expansive voice flowing from her slender frame were striking, weren’t they? She debuted in 1996 with the single “Feel My Heart,” and is known for numerous classics such as “Time goes by,” the theme song for a 1998 drama, and “fragile,” the theme for the popular TV show Ainori.

In December 1998, she won the Album of the Year at the Japan Record Awards, and she performed at NHK’s Kōhaku Uta Gassen for eight consecutive years—achievements that have left a deep mark on the J-pop scene.

In her solo work, she showcases a gentle, acoustic vocal style, offering an intimate atmosphere distinct from her work with the group.
