Founded in 1902 as the Private Tokyo Women’s Gymnastics School, this institution was established as Japan’s first place to train female physical education instructors. The annual school festival, the Fujiensai held every November, is a major event unique to this school, featuring sports competitions and attracting many participants from the local community.
