Uplifting songs recommended for men in their 40s (21–30)

Bring it on, spring.non

[Official Music Video] Non – I’ll Stand to Face Spring
Bring it on, spring.non

As spring—the season of new beginnings—approaches, Non channels the energy of youth into her music and delivers it straight to your heart.

Like a gentle breeze, this encounter will blow in the courage you need to take a fresh step forward.

Born from a collaboration with Kei Higuchi, this work brims with a powerful message that captures the radiance of youth and breaks through the stifling feel of everyday life.

Since its release in January 2025, it has earned acclaim in live performances and become a fan favorite.

Following the album “PURSUE,” Non’s expressive power shines even brighter, marking a new stage in her evolution.

It’s a heartfelt cheer song I strongly recommend to anyone stepping into a new chapter of life or looking to take that first step toward tomorrow.

Southern All Stars – Sakura, Hirari [Official Visualizer]
Sakura, flutterSazan Ōrusutāzu

A heartwarming message song by Southern All Stars that portrays a gentle light of hope, themed around cherry blossoms shining in the spring sunshine.

Through the fleeting yet beautiful cherry blossoms, it tenderly sings of loss, rebirth, and wishes for the future.

The melody is as light as a spring breeze, filled with a warmth that seems to stay close to the listener’s heart.

Released digitally on January 1, 2025, this work was unveiled as the lead single from the album “THANK YOU SO MUCH.” The gently flowing acoustic guitar and soft synthesizer tones create a pleasant atmosphere that evokes the arrival of spring.

Whether you need a moment to breathe in the midst of busy days or are about to take a new step forward, it will surely become a source of comfort for your heart.

DON’T STOP BELIEVINGZIGGY

ZIGGY is a band that greatly energized the rock scene of the 1980s.

Known for bright, powerful songs that embody classic rock ’n’ roll, they’ve released many tracks over the years.

Among ZIGGY’s songs, the one I especially recommend for men in their 50s is “DON’T STOP BELIEVING.” While the vocals aren’t particularly low, no part goes beyond the mid-range, and there aren’t many long sustained notes, making the vocal lines quite easy to sing.

Forever YoungTakehara Pisutoru

Takahara Pistol / Forever Young (Ending theme for TV Tokyo’s Drama 24 series “Byplayers: What If Six Famous Supporting Actors Lived Together in a Share House?”)
Forever YoungTakehara Pisutoru

Takihara Pistol’s classic “Forever Young,” released as the ending theme for TV Tokyo’s drama “Byplayers: What if 6 Famous Supporting Actors Lived Together?,” is memorable for its moving lyrics themed around “who we were back then” and its straightforward yet somewhat wistful melody.

The song is also easy to sing, with no particularly challenging parts aside from the long note before the chorus.

That said, it does call for power, so it’s recommended for people with a rich or slightly raspy voice.

Lovin’ YouYokoyama Kiichi

Kiichi Yokoyama – Lovin’ You
Lovin' YouYokoyama Kiichi

A single released in 1993.

It was the theme song for TBS’s broadcast of the 1993 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships.

The musician was born in 1961 and hails from Hokkaido.

It’s a refreshing track featuring his light, breezy vocals over an upbeat, danceable rhythm and a melody driven by digital synthesizer sounds.

Let’s walkJUN SKY WALKER(S)

The title track from the 1989 album “Aruite Ikō” (“Let’s Keep Walking”).

A four-piece rock band formed in 1980 by students of Jiyu Gakuen.

With drums that lay down a simple, straightforward rock beat and guitar sounds pushed to the forefront, the powerful vocals ride the rock sound to create a track that’s quintessentially them.

That’s important.Daiji MAN Burazāzu Bando

A powerful, encouraging song that lifts your spirits when times are tough or you feel like giving up.

Its lyrics preach the importance of not giving up, and the strong yet approachable melody resonates deeply.

With the warmth of a friend giving you a gentle push forward, this song has become a source of support for many.

Released by Daiji MAN Brothers Band in August 1991, the track was used as the ending theme for “Sports Frontier” and also served as the theme song for “Hō-chan no Yamada Katsutenai Television.” It topped the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart for five consecutive weeks and became a massive hit, selling an impressive 1.8 million copies.

When you find yourself troubled or at a standstill in life, listening to this song will surely give you the courage to move forward.
