This song by DISH//, the band fronted by Takumi Kitamura, spins everyday, unassuming happiness found in daily life into music.

As the title suggests, through the familiar theme of “meals,” it portrays the preciousness of time spent with loved ones and moments of caring for yourself.

Life has its ups and downs—there are times when we reflect on the meaning of happiness, and there are ordinary feelings like simply getting hungry.

That down-to-earth message is sure to resonate with many listeners.

Released digitally in October 2025, the track features lyrics by Takumi Kitamura and composition by To-i Tachibana, Daichi Izumi, and others.

Give it a listen when you’re tired or need a moment to unwind.

A masterpiece released in 2010 has returned after 15 years! Created by Owata-P, this work is included in the album “million /\(^o^)/” in August 2025, with the music video released in October.

The lyrics, which straightforwardly portray a defiant “Shut up!” attitude toward petty everyday meddling and nagging, may feel refreshing to anyone struggling with overbearing relationships or the difficulty of asserting themselves.

Feelin’ great! 〜Nothing But Something〜DA PUMP

DA PUMP is a dance and vocal group that has been active for many years.

Early in their career they had a stylish vibe, but as they gained experience they gradually began tackling comic songs and the like, broadening both their musicality and their persona.

Their track “Gokigendaze! ~Nothing But Something~,” judging by the title alone, might seem like a comic song, but in reality it’s more of a then-contemporary R&B-style pop number, finished with a distinctly stylish feel.

GOLDAge Factory

Age Factory “GOLD” (Official Music Video)
GOLDAge Factory

Age Factory is a three-piece band from Nara Prefecture that’s drawing attention not only from fans but from many fellow musicians as well.

They’ve walked various paths—alternative, punk, and more—but no matter where you look, their raw, unfiltered emotion and the way their sound, lyrics, and vocals pierce straight into your heart are overwhelming.

It might not be standard to categorize Age Factory as an “emo band,” but they’re so deeply affecting that I still feel compelled to feature them here.

Their recordings are great, of course, but they’re a band you should absolutely experience live.

Goggles, put them on.JAGATARA

Led by Akemi Edo, JAGATARA is a funk rock band that began activities in 1979.

Blending punk, funk, reggae, and afrobeat, they boast a unique sound and a standout presence.

In 1989, they made their major-label debut with the album “Sorekara” on BMG Victor.

Although the band disbanded following the sudden death of Akemi Edo, they resumed activities in 2020—30 years after his passing—under the name Jagatara2020.

They’re a cult favorite in the funk scene, so if you haven’t heard them yet, definitely give them a listen!

Many of their tracks are composed purely of sound with no vocals, and they often write longer pieces around five to six minutes.

Their soothing tones make them perfect for listening during tasks or between work sessions.

“I want to tell you how I really feel” — this is a pop tune that lays the heart bare.

It’s a song by Hololive’s Shion Murasaki, released digitally in December 2024.

The lyrics and composition were handled by the popular Vocaloid producer PinocchioP.

The uptempo arrangement paired with Shion’s clearly defined vocals makes for an irresistibly catchy track.

It’s a song that really hits home when you’re longing to be honest with yourself.
