Guinness challenge!? How many coffee beans can you grab in one minute?
Number of coffee beans moved with chopsticks in one minute

I’m sure many of you are wondering if there are any Guinness World Records that are easier to attempt.

One I’d like to introduce is a challenge where you compete to see how many coffee beans you can move with chopsticks in one minute.

Lots of people already have chopsticks and coffee beans at home, so you can try it right away.

The rules are very simple: first, prepare two plates.

Place coffee beans on one plate, then use chopsticks to pick up the beans one by one and move them to the other plate.

By the way, the world record is 48!

[Guinness] A rematch against my past self! Shingo-chin takes on a Guinness World Records challenge! [Shingo Katori]

The Guinness World Record that former SMAP member Shingo Katori attempted and that’s been making headlines is for the fastest time to drink 500 ml of a milkshake through a straw.

Just thinking about it sounds tough, right? Unfortunately, Katori wasn’t able to break the world record.

The record stands at 9.48 seconds.

The person who set it is Taka from the comedy duo Taka and Toshi.

It feels kind of proud when a familiar celebrity holds a world record, doesn’t it? If you’re confident in your lung capacity, definitely give it a try.

Number of popcorn kernels caught barehanded in one minute

[200°C] Attempting the Guinness Record for Catching Popcorn with Bare Hands Was Way Too Dangerous [Korochiki]
Number of popcorn kernels caught barehanded in one minute

There are some slightly dangerous challenges in the Guinness World Records.

One of them is the number of popcorn kernels caught with bare hands in one minute as they pop.

You know how popcorn pops when you heat the kernels—this challenge is about catching those.

Apparently, the world record is 28.

Since popcorn pops at temperatures between 150 and 180 degrees Celsius, there is, of course, a risk of burns.

If you decide to try this challenge, please be very careful not to push yourself and avoid burns or injuries.

Flight distance of a paper airplane

Longest Paper Airplane Throw Ever – Guinness World Records
Flight distance of a paper airplane

There are two types of Guinness World Records for paper airplanes: one for hang time and one for distance.

They say the folding method is completely different for these two categories.

Fascinating, isn’t it? The world record was set by a joint team from Malaysia and South Korea, with a distance of about 76.98 meters.

By the way, the rules are to fly the paper airplane eight times and take the best result.

Since various factors like how you fold and throw the airplane are important, how about dividing roles among multiple people and devising a strategy? It’s also recommended for anyone looking for a challenge that really makes you think.

World record for soccer passes (from 2 meters away in 1 minute)

For those looking for a Guinness World Record you can attempt as a duo, I recommend the record for most soccer passes.

First, draw a line 2 meters apart.

Then stand outside that line and rally a soccer ball for one minute.

Be careful: if you kick the ball before it crosses the line, it doesn’t count.

The current world record is held by two Russians, with a total of 11 passes.

Give it a try with a partner you’re in sync with!

There’s even a Guinness World Record for the most people wearing paper samurai helmets simultaneously online.

It was attempted to celebrate the release of the film “Brave: Gunjō Senki,” and the number was 122 people.

It’s amazing that you can achieve a record together online without gathering in one place! By the way, they used Zoom for the challenge.

With this approach, it seems relatively easy and convenient to attempt a Guinness World Record.

It’s also a great way to make memories with friends you don’t get to see often.

In conclusion

We’ve featured Guinness World Records that look simple enough to make you want to give them a try.

They may seem easy, but actually attempting them is tough.

If you manage to break a record, the sense of accomplishment will be incredible, and even if you fail, it’ll make for a great story.

So if there’s a record that fits your style, definitely give it a shot!
