flower raftTakahashi Kiyoko

“Hana Ikada” is a song released by Kiyoko Takahashi in March 2025, composed by Saburo Kitajima, also known as Joji Hara.
The image of a woman living as if against the flow of the river is beautifully conveyed through the emotive melody and Takahashi’s rich, velvety vocals.
The lyrics, which reflect a life view of “living while carrying one’s scars” and “never forgetting the kindness received from others,” are deeply moving.
It’s an enka piece that can serve as a compass for how to live.

half-baked thoughtYukichi Kasaku/men

Singer-songwriter Yukichi Kousaku/men, who has won popularity with a uniquely original musical style.
Characterized by a distinctive techno sound infused with ambient elements, she consistently releases striking tracks with a musicality unlike anything else.
Among her songs, the one I especially recommend is Hanjukukou.
Throughout the piece, the vocal range is narrow and there are no long sustained notes.
What’s more, in the chorus the track takes precedence over the vocal line, making it easy to sing—you can even catch your breath during the hook.
HURRY GO ROUNDhide with Spread Beaver

The fourth single by hide with Spread Beaver, themed around the cycle of the seasons and the cycle of life.
Despite its unconventional structure that shifts from 4/4 to 3/4 time, it’s a polished track that shines with refined pop sensibilities.
Released in October 1998, it reached No.
2 on the Oricon charts and ranked 41st on the year-end chart.
It was also used as the ending theme for the documentary film “HURRY GO ROUND.” It’s a song I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who wants to look back on days gone by with the arrival of spring.
Spring GoesAimer

A gem of a ballad by Aimer that poignantly portrays a fleeting yet beautiful scene.
Released in March 2020 as the theme song for the theatrical anime Fate/stay night [Heaven’s Feel] III.
spring song, Aimer’s soul-stirring vocals beautifully color the world of the work.
Depicting with delicate emotion the intersection of the heroine’s heavy fate and the hope of a new season, the song was also included on the album Walpurgis.
The music video featuring actress Minami Hamabe also drew attention.
In the spring season when meetings and partings intersect, this track resonates deeply with many people as a song that makes you reflect on your bonds with those you hold dear.
