[Handmade] ♡ How to make a Minnie Mouse headband for babies ♡ Perfect for a Disneyland debut!!
baby headband

Let’s try making a Minnie headband for a baby.

Since Disneyland doesn’t sell baby-sized headbands, it’s a good idea to make one and bring it.

First, make the ears out of felt.

Attach batting (domette) with glue to give the ears firmness.

Stuff some craft cotton inside.

Next, cut the bow from red fabric and fill it with cotton.

After stuffing and sewing it closed, add the center piece to shape it into a bow.

Attach all the parts to the base, sew on elastic lace, and it’s done.

Mickey balloon art hat

You can make a Mickey hat with balloon art.

First, inflate two black balloons into round shapes.

Next, make a long balloon and wrap it around the round balloons.

Once you create the part that attaches to the head, it’s complete.

For Minnie, add a bow to it.

When handling balloons, techniques like kneading them to soften are necessary, so check a video to learn those techniques and avoid popping them.

Since few people make wearable items with balloon art, you might attract some attention.

Cardboard Mickey headband

Here are some ideas for making Mickey-style headbands out of cardstock.

It’s very easy, so be sure to try it with your child.

First, prepare black cardstock.

Fold one sheet into a long, narrow strip to make the base of the headband.

From another sheet, cut out two circular pieces.

Make a small slit in each circle, overlap the cut edges slightly, and glue them to create a three-dimensional piece.

Attach these as ears to the headband base.

Finally, punch holes at both ends of the base, thread a rubber band through, and you’ll have an adorable headband! Add a bow to turn it into a Minnie version.
