Rainbows seem to symbolize dreams and hopes for the future, making them a perfect theme for graduation ceremonies.
Let’s create a rainbow collage and use it as a wall decoration.
First, tear seven colors of origami paper into fairly large pieces.
Once you’ve torn them, paste them onto a backing sheet, one color at a time.
Finally, attach cotton at both ends to resemble clouds, and you’re done.
It’s easier if you lightly sketch a curved guide line with a pencil first to help you form a smooth arc.

If each letter is neatly decorated one by one, it really stands out and looks cute, doesn’t it? Here’s how to make such decorative letters.
Layer and glue construction paper cut into large and small circles, then cut the outer edge of the larger piece into your preferred shape, like wavy lines.
Once that’s done, write each letter one by one on the smaller piece of paper.
If just the letters feel a bit plain, make it more lavish by adding various paper cutouts around them.
You can also make the outer outlines of the letters in different colors to create a bold, eye-catching look.

A graduation ceremony may seem like a sad event of farewells, but it’s also a day to feel the children’s growth as they set off on their next journey.
This hot air balloon wall decoration expresses the children moving forward.
Tear pieces of origami paper and paste them onto a paper-plate balloon.
The torn edges give it a handmade feel and convey the maker’s feelings.
And of course, the passengers in the balloon are the children.
A wall decoration of smiling children riding in hot air balloons can create an atmosphere of a bright future.

This is a wall decoration made simply by stapling long, narrow strips of colored construction paper.
The simple shape is beautiful in its own way.
First, prepare longer and shorter strips of colored paper.
Stack a long strip and a short strip together and staple them.
Make eight of these, then staple the neighboring petals to each other.
Finally, glue a circle of colored paper in the center to finish.
Using different colors for the long and short strips looks very pretty, and using light and dark shades also looks great.

Great for photo spots too! How to make a balloon tower

Why not try making a balloon tower that works as an entrance gate or an Instagrammable spot? Use a banner-flag stand for the base; if you don’t have one, you can sandwich a tension rod between two 2-liter water bottles instead.
Inflate the balloons and tie them in pairs.
Then twist and wrap the pairs around the pole.
Place a decorative balloon on top to finish.
Making two towers gives a more luxurious look.
Using two colors alternately makes it especially beautiful.

Make it with kids! Cherry blossom wall art using color spray

Let’s try creating a cherry blossom haze with color spray.
First, make a stencil.
Any paper is fine—cut out a cherry blossom shape to create your stencil.
Making several different shapes will look beautiful.
Once the stencils are ready, arrange them on a backing sheet, then spray from above using magenta printer ink from a 100-yen shop diluted with water and put into a spray bottle.
The key is to spray from above like a mist.
Once it dries, shift the stencils and spray again.
Decorating an entire wall with this will look very luxurious.
How to Make a Hot Air Balloon Sakura with Origami

Let’s make a balloon cherry blossom by treating a hot air balloon as if it were a sakura flower.
Balloons carry meanings like travel and departure, so they’re perfect for the season of setting off on new journeys.
First, glue two shades of pink construction paper, slightly offset, and attach leaves and cherry blossoms in the gaps.
Secure the lower part with glue, and fasten the upper part with a stapler so it becomes half three-dimensional.
Once that’s done, attach the basket where people would ride, and decorate around it with flowers and butterflies.
It will make a very luxurious wall decoration.
Please give it a try.
