Easy to Make! A Fun Collection of DIY Mickey Costume Ideas (21–30)
Mickey balloon art hat

You can make a Mickey hat with balloon art.
First, inflate two black balloons into round shapes.
Next, make a long balloon and wrap it around the round balloons.
Once you create the part that attaches to the head, it’s complete.
For Minnie, add a bow to it.
When handling balloons, techniques like kneading them to soften are necessary, so check a video to learn those techniques and avoid popping them.
Since few people make wearable items with balloon art, you might attract some attention.
Mickey costume from Club Mouse Beat
@ruri171630 I made a Mickey costume from Club Mouse Beat for D-Hallo. Posting this late. I also made a Donald costume from Club Mouse Beat, and when my two daughters went to meet Mickey and Donald, both of them noticed! I’m so happy ❤︎#dHaroCostume2023#HalloweenCostumeClub Mouse Beat#Club Mouse Beat Mickey#ClubMouseBeatDonald#HandmadeCostume
♬ Club Mouse Beat – Single Version – Tokyo Disneyland
It’s the costume Mickey wore in Tokyo Disneyland’s entertainment program “Club Mouse Beat.” The stylish suit is predominantly white, accented with sleek black and purple lines that really stand out.
The inside of the suit appears to be sequins or a similarly sparkly material that would reflect the lights.
Add a white hat, and you could completely become Mickey.
This person seems to have made everything by hand, but if you buy a white suit and customize it, you could probably finish it easily.
Handmade headband from a 100-yen shop
@lovecraft.jp I made Minnie Mouse-style headband ears! ✨ You only need five materials (a headband, a corsage, a ribbon, a scrunchie, and fabric), and you can get them all at a 100-yen shop!TranslationAll from the 100-yen shop#100-yen-shopHandmade#disney#tiktok classroom#Tokyo Disneyland#Tokyo DisneySea#Minnie

If you wear a pair of uniquely original Mickey ear headbands, you’re sure to turn heads at the theme park and make lasting memories.
This idea is inspired by Minnie, but you can easily adapt it into a Mickey version by sticking to chic, subdued colors.
The best part is that there’s no sewing at all—just gluing everything together.
Use a simple store-bought headband for the base, and lightweight cork coasters for the ears.
Once the base is assembled, decorate it with lace, rhinestones, scrunchies, and more.
Mickey ear headband with a Christmas design
https://www.tiktok.com/@mmhiromi7/video/7439221767165562119Let’s customize a store-bought headband to make Mickey ears.
This one features a Christmas design, embellished with a party hat, faux fur, and rhinestones for a festive finish.
The design is up to you—try using classic Christmas colors, a blue palette that evokes snow, and play around with the placement of decorations to create a cute headband that reflects your style.
To keep the look cohesive, we recommend wrapping the base headband with fabric.
Cost-effective Disney costume
https://www.tiktok.com/@_sorabox_/video/7310095582192864530It’s the outfit worn by the dancer in “Jamboree Mickey! Let’s Dance!” The key features are a skirt with blue stripes and a red T-shirt with a white vest.
Everything except the T-shirt is handmade, but you could probably find similar items ready-made.
If you go with store-bought pieces, adding the distinctive red, white, and black stripes and attaching a Mickey patch to the chest of the vest should make it look authentic.
If you wear a three-quarter sleeve or long-sleeve inner layer, it should be wearable in all but the depths of winter.
Handmade Mickey cap
https://www.tiktok.com/@belle_art_39/video/7177282576300788994If you want an easy way to add a touch of Mickey, a hat is a great choice.
Here’s an idea: attach Mickey ears to a store-bought hat and use a paint marker like Posca to write a name or logo.
Washing might be tricky, but because the hat itself is simple, your customizations can really show your personality.
Hats are also useful on hot days for shade and heatstroke prevention, so they can be a fun and safe item that fits the theme park vibe.
Add a ribbon and you can turn it into Minnie, too.
Mickey costume from Steamboat Willie
Speaking of Mickey from Steamboat Willie, he wears white shorts, a black T-shirt, and a black, white, and gray striped scarf.
It looks like the T-shirt and scarf can be prepared as ready-made items, so here we’re only making the white shorts by hand.
You just sew the body pieces together, so anyone who can use a sewing machine should be able to make them easily.
Once you’ve got the outfit on, put on a headband with Mickey ears to transform into Mickey! If you have time, you could also handmake the scarf.
