Handmade snow globe ideas: simple yet cute crafts (11–20)
A snow globe that glows in the dark

A snow globe with decorations inside that gently sway is beautiful on its own, but this one shines even more—it glows in the dark.
The reason it glows is because it contains a luminous powder called fluorescent powder.
By mixing this powder into the base of the snow globe, it emits a soft glow after you turn off the lights.
Besides that, all you need inside are your favorite decorations or mascots, plus water and liquid laundry starch.
To make the fluorescent glow even more magical, don’t forget to add powder or glitter.
Enjoy a uniquely different snow globe and its gently shimmering world, both in bright places and in the dark!
No liquid needed! A snow globe with falling snow

A snow globe where you can enjoy the sight of snow gently swaying in liquid.
There are all kinds, from romantic to playful, but this time, why not make a snow globe that doesn’t use liquid? Prepare a clear, sealable case with a transparent lid, fix some Christmas-themed items inside, and decorate.
Then add white polystyrene beads and close the lid to finish.
Turn the dome upside down and rub it with something like a plastic sheet to generate static electricity.
In that state, bring a separately generated static charge close to the dome, and the beads will move as if fluffy snow is gently falling.
With this simple idea, you can make a fun Christmas decoration—give it a try!
Snowman snow globe

A small snowman Christmas dome made with UV resin.
Use a spherical mold from a 100-yen shop to create the snowman’s head and body parts.
Once cured, remove them from the mold and trim off any excess.
Add fine nail glitter to the body section, attach the parts together, and inject herbarium oil inside with a syringe to finish! You can also decorate it by coating the surface with colored resin and adding parts like eyes and a scarf, if you like.
Heart-shaped snow globe

Fill a heart-shaped jar with your favorite glitter and beads, then pour in water and liquid laundry starch to create a beautifully sparkling snow globe inside the heart! It’s also fun to customize: paint the outside with an oil-based marker, add stickers for decoration, or tint the liquid with color.
While spherical snow globes are the standard, you can make adorable ones using containers shaped like hearts or stars.
Since they don’t stand on their own, try propping them up on a stand or finding another way to display them.
Snow globe card

While gifts are wonderful to receive at Christmas, heartfelt message cards are also very special.
Why not try making a one-of-a-kind, original card? Decorating with stickers and tape is lovely, but let’s make a fun, interactive Christmas card that makes sounds when you shake it.
Recreate a snow globe in card form that looks like snow is falling inside the dome when you shake it up and down.
Attach a sealed frame made of clear film filled with sparkly glitter or beads to the front of the card.
Once you decorate the rest of the card, you’ll have a fun, shaker card that makes a delightful rattle.
