Karaoke songs that are easy and fun for high school students to sing

Compared to today’s songs, older tracks didn’t pack in as many words.

Because of that, many of them were, on the surface, easier to sing than modern songs.

That doesn’t mean today’s songs are necessarily harder, though.

Since recent songs tend to cram in more words, it’s actually easier to disguise flaws, so depending on the track, some can be quite easy for anyone to sing well.

This time, I’ve picked out songs from that category that I especially recommend for high school students.

We’ll be featuring the latest tracks, so be sure to check it out to the end!

Karaoke Songs Recommended for High School Students That Are Easy to Sing and Fun (41–50)

I’m a BelieverSPYAIR

SPYAIR “I’m a Believer” – TV anime Haikyu!! Second Season opening theme
I'm a BelieverSPYAIR

A song by SPYAIR, born from their second collaboration with the popular anime Haikyu!! Second Season.

It features a refreshing, upbeat melody and positive lyrics.

It’s a motivational anthem that gives you strength when you listen to it before a sports tournament or an exam, so it might be good to sing it to get fired up.

The catchy chorus melody is also memorable.

Youthful AmigoShūji to Akira

Seishun Amigo [Shuji and Akira Cover] (Chor. Draft)
Youthful AmigoShūji to Akira

This song is by Shuji and Akira, the popular duo of Kazuya Kamenashi and Tomohisa Yamashita that caused a huge sensation at the time.

The unit was formed under the character names from the drama “Nobuta wo Produce,” in which both appeared, and the song was released under those names.

Although many years have passed since its release, the song remains popular, including its distinctive choreography.

See menqrse ft. VACON

Nqrse, a net rapper who’s popular for his high-level skills—the name is pronounced Naruse.

While he’s not extremely well-known among hardcore hip-hop heads, he’s a famous rapper in the utaite community and has very strong rap skills.

Among his tracks, the one I especially recommend is See me.

It’s a song that feels like a mix of K-pop and hip-hop.

Honestly, the difficulty level is fairly high, but if two people sing it together, it’s not that hard.

The song might sound like it’s on the higher side, but the vocal range is narrow, so if you’re singing with someone who can rap, it’s a relatively easy song to perform.

On nights when cherry blossoms fallaimyon

If you’re a high school student, I bet Aimyong’s songs become a hot commodity at karaoke.

Tracks like “Rosemary” and “You Don’t Listen to Rock” are all widely known and popular across generations, but the song “Sakura ga Furu Yoru wa” is a perfect choice for a high school girl, especially one in love.

In cherry blossom season, it’ll hit even harder.

It’s not just about aching or painful feelings—it’s a love song that makes you feel genuinely positive, and it’s sure to be a huge hit at an all-girls karaoke session.

“Silhouette” is a song by KANA-BOON and their fifth major-label single, released on November 26, 2014.

I don’t think you need exceptionally high vocal skills to sing KANA-BOON’s songs, but for many people the sticking point might be their distinctive, slightly high-pitched vocal tone.

As long as you can handle that, the melody itself isn’t particularly difficult, so I think it’s a selection that should be easy for almost anyone to sing.

If you sing it in the original key, pay attention to the high notes—especially the transitions between chest voice and falsetto.

Listen closely to the original, study where and how different vocal techniques are used, and then try singing it.

If you’re not confident, you should be fine lowering the key!

horizonback number

When you think of back number, love songs come to mind—but this is a ballad that’s sure to strike a chord with anyone.

The song “Suiheisen” (Horizon) was written for high school students who were aiming for the Inter-High but had their dreams cut short due to the pandemic.

Even if it’s not the Inter-High, many people have surely felt frustration under various restrictions.

This gentle yet powerful number soothes those feelings—some listeners might even be moved to tears.

Let’s turn everyone’s frustration into forward momentum with this song.

Sakanaction has many crowd-pleasing signature songs, and “Shin Takara-jima” is definitely one of them.

Released as a single in 2015, it’s also famous for its entertaining music video.

Maybe thanks to the MV, it’s a track that makes you want to sway in small motions and step side to side when you hear it.

It’s sure to get the crowd going at karaoke, too! Everyone listening will find themselves stepping along.

It’s a fun song that keeps the energy high from start to finish without letting up.
