poofKing Gnu

King Gnu is a band that has gained popularity for its highly original musicality.
While they have many tastefully crafted songs, they’re also known for having plenty of difficult ones.
Among their catalog, the track I especially recommend is Doron.
Known as the theme song for the film “Stolen Identity 2,” it has a gritty atmosphere and a fairly wide vocal range from mid1 A# to hi A#.
On top of that, the melodic leaps up and down are quite intense, but the most challenging parts are the chorus and the C section.
When the chorus and C section hit, the tempo jumps up all at once, leaving few breathing points; combined with the sharp rises and falls in pitch, it makes nailing the intonation extremely difficult.
Call meNovelbright

Although they are a rock band, Novelbright also enjoys idol-like popularity.
Among both men and women, many people in their teens to early twenties are likely fans.
Their new song “Call me” has a very refreshing melody.
While it’s pleasant to listen to, the difficulty level is quite high: in the repeated chorus sections, there’s a falsetto close to a mixed-voice quality.
For men with a typical vocal range, the hi D# is a pitch that easily flips, making it a high-tone phrase that’s tricky to control.
If you’re confident in your high notes, definitely give it a try.
Chaos reaches its peakUNISON SQUARE GARDEN

UNISON SQUARE GARDEN is a band that enjoys immense popularity in the anisong scene.
If you like anime, you’ve probably heard their songs at least once.
Among their tracks, the one I especially recommend as a challenging piece is “Chaos ga Kiwamaru” (“Chaos Reaches Its Peak”).
This song covers a wide vocal range from mid1E to hiC, and, true to UNISON SQUARE GARDEN’s style, features intense pitch shifts up and down.
Except for the part at the end of the chorus, most of it is built around high tones, making it a demanding song in terms of vocal stamina.
GravityOmoinotake

Released on October 29, 2025, it’s the theme song for the film “(LOVE SONG).” Omoinotake, who had a huge hit with “Ikioku Kounen,” may be known for consistently high vocal ranges.
In “Gravity,” the chorus climbs up to around C#5, making falsetto essential.
Some people might think falsetto is easy, but when you need this level of airy resonance, you definitely have to use a lot of breath with diaphragmatic breathing.
Since “Gravity” has a relaxed tempo, you should be able to take solid breaths.
Try singing while staying loose and resonating in your head voice!
yuzusutoorii

I looked it up because I thought, “This sounds really familiar,” and it turned out to be the CM song for Toyota’s Ractis! It’s a single released in 2008.
Since it’s a Yuzu song, the range is higher than the average male vocal range, so if you’re good at high notes, it’s easy to sing and a good candidate to aim for a perfect 100.
The chorus has many sustained endings, so make sure to take a breath for each phrase and pay close attention to the pitch bar.
I always told a student who loved Yuzu and sang them all the time, “It’s high, so keep your facial muscles lifted so your pitch doesn’t drop!” It can be tough until you get used to it, but once your pitch dips even for a moment, it’s hard to correct.
Of course, it’s fine to switch to falsetto—just make sure you can place the pitch solidly around the brow area.
The most important factor in scoring is pitch, so focus on maintaining it!
Early summer rain&TEAM

&TEAM is a global boy group active in two hubs, Japan and South Korea, much like NiziU.
They’re known for authentic dance music infused with K-pop style and have produced many hit songs.
Among their tracks, the one especially recommended for men with higher voices is Samidare.
While it isn’t a song that constantly features falsetto or extremely high notes, it stays in the mid-to-high register throughout, making it a track that can greatly showcase the appeal of higher male vocals.

GET STUPIDXY

XY is a dance-and-vocal group band produced by YOSHIKI of X JAPAN.
They’re a group that’s drawing major attention from the industry for their new approach of unifying a band with a vocal group.
Among XY’s songs, the one I especially recommend for men with high voices is GET STUPID.
Musically, it has a trendy K-pop-style dance sound, and it demands a wide vocal range—from low rap parts to high sections using falsetto.
