Among J-POP bands, Official HIGE DANDism stands out for songs that somehow evoke elements of Black music.
The vocalist, Satoshi Fujihara, is known for having a very high voice.
Their track “Parabola” showcases Fujihara’s soaring high tones; while its overall range isn’t extremely wide at mid1 F to hi D, it frequently hits hi A# and hi C, making it a perfect piece for building endurance in your mixed voice.

A poppy, refreshing love song that represents V6 in 1997—and I just learned this myself—the composer is Koji Tamaki.
The overall vocal range is wide and high, from D#3 to D#5, and both the intensity and the range build steadily toward the latter half.
Because the tempo feels good, you’ll need to project your voice while staying in the groove.
As you approach the high notes before the chorus, keep a tight, small body rhythm to line up your timing, use your body to add momentum, and accent the phrase.

The band Aqua Timez, revived for a limited time until the end of 2025.
This track, “Sora Ippai ni Kanaderu Inori,” is a new song that reconstructs the classic of the same name released in 2005, and it’s composed of highly dramatic and moving lyrics and melodies.
It’s not an extremely high-pitched piece overall, but the chorus features phrases that sit around the middle between mixed voice and chest voice.

That said, it’s not a demanding high register; the part mainly uses a gentle falsetto, so men with naturally higher voices should be able to sing it without trouble.
Since the song modulates quite a bit, make sure you firmly lock in your pitch at the very beginning.

It’s a track that delivers a refreshing, positive message, comparing hope for the future and serendipitous encounters to a driver.
The overall vocal range is E3–B4, which isn’t too high for Higedan’s standards.
The A and B sections sit in a relatively calm range, but the chorus repeatedly hits the top note of B4, so you’ll need to be careful not to let your pitch drop.
The melody itself is very simple, so if you’re good with higher notes, once you’ve learned the song you might find it really satisfying to sing! If high notes are tough for you, start with falsetto at first.
