Hilcrhyme’s classic and popular songs
Let me introduce a two-person rap unit, Hilcrhyme, consisting of TOC and DJ KATSU.
In 2009, they released “Shunkashuto” (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter), which became a huge topic at the time, hitting number one across various charts such as ringtone rankings, Oricon, and the cable broadcast charts.
The appeal of their music lies in how catchy and easy to listen to it is, even while being rap, which won them great popularity.
Despite their catchy style, the MC TOC used to belong to a hip-hop unit called NITE FULL MAKERS and reportedly performed at B BOY PARK, Japan’s largest hip-hop event.
Now, please enjoy the music of Hilcrhyme, a group with a formidable hip-hop backbone.

Hilcrhyme’s Classic and Popular Songs (21–30)
A letter without contentHilcrhyme

The story of four young people is depicted in a short movie.
Ai Takahashi, a former member of Morning Musume, also appears in it.
The song was provided to Johnny’s group NEWS.
I’m sure fans were delighted.
It would be great if they continue providing songs to other artists as well.
Personal colorHilcrhyme

This song was performed on stage after introducing the backup dancers CLOP and THUG-HOMEY, who were officially confirmed to join as part of the Hilcrhyme Crew at the live show “Aka no Sagi.” The staging features the dancers wearing costumes in their respective signature colors and dancing.
“Aka no Sagi” was a concert Hilcrhyme held at Toki Messe in their hometown of Niigata on August 13.
One Thousand and One Nights feat. Izumi Nakasone (HY)Hilcrhyme

This is a song that resonates with the heart—a grand love story that transcends time.
It’s a collaboration between Hilcrhyme’s TOC and Izumi Nakasone, set for release in April 2025.
The track has been selected as the ending theme for the TV anime “Kijin Gentoushou.” TOC’s powerful rap intertwines with HY’s Nakasone’s clear, crystalline vocals, stirring the listener’s emotions.
The love message woven into the lyrics is so moving it brings tears to your eyes.
Please take the time to listen closely to this love song.
NEW DAY, NEW WORLDHilcrhyme

It seems TOC wrote a song with the theme of “start.” I’m sure some fans were surprised when they watched this promotional video, but TOC cut his hair and looks completely different.
Perhaps he changed his image to match this song’s theme of starting anew.

This song is included on the album MESSAGE.
The promotional video features Nana Katase, who is active as an actress.
There’s a story that when TOC finished writing the song, he said Nana Katase was the only person who matched the image of the track, which led to her appearance.
cheerHilcrhyme

This is the 15th single, released in 2014.
It’s an uplifting song with the message that you don’t have to be afraid of failure and that you can start over no matter how many times you fail.
Listening to it when you feel discouraged will brighten your mood and give you energy.

When this is performed live, TOC sings and dances cheerfully with the Hilcrhyme Crew dancers.
If you look closely behind them, you can see KATU dancing too.
It’s a must-see track where KATU—usually the cool, behind-the-scenes DJ—can be seen dancing and having fun.
