Himuro made his solo debut in July 1988, just three months after BOØWY disbanded, and he has continued his solo career ever since.

Interestingly, before forming BOØWY, Himuro was about to quit music and return to his hometown, but just before leaving, he saw an RC Succession concert and became determined to continue with music.

It was included on the 2013 album “KYOSUKE HIMURO 25th Anniversary BEST ALBUM GREATEST ANTHOLOGY.” It served as the ending theme for NTV’s “NEWS ZERO.” In response to news about the Great East Japan Earthquake, the lyrics—though already completed—were revised before release.

In addition, the song’s royalty proceeds were donated to the Great East Japan Earthquake Reconstruction Support Fund, the “Kokoro-oto” Fund.
