Ikimonogakari’s classic and popular songs (21–30)
Sentimental Boyfriendikimonogakari

It’s a pop love song, and when Yoshioka Kiyoe was making it, the lyrics were so sweet she couldn’t help asking the director, “Is it really okay for 27-year-old me to sing this?” It paints a picture of pure young love, packed with ticklish lines like, “I could never say ‘Hold me,’ but I’ve truly fallen for you.”
The wind begs and the flowers swayikimonogakari

This song was created with the scenery of the members’ hometown, Ebina City in Kanagawa Prefecture, in mind.
While depicting many symbolic motifs like flowers, stars, wind, and light, it’s a pop number that expresses feelings for the road we’ve walked so far and the path we’ll continue to take.
KIRA★KIRA★TRAINikimonogakari

In the first verse, the lyrics express his feelings for her; in the second, her feelings for him.
It’s a song that captures the loneliness of leaving one’s hometown while giving the courage to keep looking toward the future.
It’s also a staple performed at many live tours—a hidden gem that, among the album tracks, has the highest number of live performances.
KISS KISS BANG BANGikimonogakari

It was selected as the CM song for Asahi Soft Drinks’ “Juroku-cha.” The track is a bright, poppy tune reminiscent of Ikimono-gakari’s signature song “Joyful,” and Yoshiki Mizuno said, “I composed it while imagining Yui Aragaki (who appears in the commercial) and the children dancing.”
The sound in the palm of the handikimonogakari

This is a song in which Yoshiki Mizuno and Hotaka Yamashita also participate as vocalists.
It was originally written by Yamashita when he was in high school for the Atsugi High School cultural festival, and at the time it was a youthful song with the main vocals performed by “Ran Mayukie,” a trio of female students from the same school.
Passwordikimonogakari

This medium-tempo ballad moved Kiyoe Yoshioka so deeply that she burst into tears during the recording, thanks to its touching lyrics and melody.
While the arrangement features a dramatic sound with strings, it never feels cluttered; instead, it presents a clean mix that highlights the appeal of the vocals and the melody.
Summer-colored Graffitiikimonogakari

It has been selected as the CM song for Coca-Cola’s “Aquarius Vitamin Guard.” Starting with the chorus, the track is irresistibly catchy.
According to the members, it was created with the theme of “summer, the sea, and the sun,” aiming to craft a new standard for summer songs.
It’s a tune you’ll want to listen to while frolicking under the dazzling sun.
