Summer Loveikimonogakari

This is a rearranged version of a track originally included on the mini-album released during their indie days, “We Humbly Present Our First Album…”.
The group’s leader and guitarist Yoshiki Mizuno, as well as guitarist and harmonica player Hotaka Yamashita, also participate as vocalists on this song.
SAKURAikimonogakari

It was used as the NTT “DENPO115” commercial song in the NTT East Japan area.
While the first major-label single was taking a long time to finish, this track was reportedly produced with the mindset of “let’s make the music the way we like,” and it turned into a cherry-blossom song that feels like it gathers the best elements of J-pop.

This is a song that has been performed since their indie days and was even considered as a debut single candidate.
With Kiyoe Yoshioka’s clear, expansive vocals and its refreshing, uplifting lyrics, fans still cherish it as an undying classic that epitomizes Ikimonogakari.

It was selected as the theme song for the original video production “Wanko THE MOVIE 2.” This is the first song for which Kiyoe Yoshioka single-handedly handled both the lyrics and composition.
It’s a piece that reminds us that connecting with others and interacting with people is a truly wonderful and happy thing.

It’s a dramatic ballad that expresses the feelings of leaving one’s hometown to move to Tokyo.
Even when going to a faraway city, it conveys the determination to keep walking forward without forgetting the words spoken by a loved one.
And the lyrics end with “thank you” appearing twice, heightening the dramatic atmosphere.

It’s a song with lots of long sustained notes that are very characteristic of Ikimonogakari, but as long as you focus on the pitch bar and hold the notes steadily, you’ll be fine! This track starts with the chorus phrase, and the chorus repeats several times in the latter half, so first practice to make sure you can match the pitch accurately in those sections.
Also, the rhythm gets bouncy right before the chorus, so be careful not to fall out of sync! Songs with many long tones feel great to sing, and if you can even score a perfect 100, it’ll feel amazing—so definitely give it some practice!
TSUZUKUikimonogakari

Even if a farewell is painful, isn’t it important not to forget the time you spent with that person and to keep living while holding on to those memories? This song also conveys a message to someone who is no longer here, but beyond sadness, you can feel strength and warmth in its sound.
Sometimes, pausing in sorrow after a parting may be a necessary step.
Yet this song seems to teach us that what truly matters is moving forward while carrying those feelings with us.
