I’ve worked in a variety of roles—regardless of pro or amateur settings—including live event PA, cameraman for video and photography, restaurant staff, and logistics center staff. I now spend my days as a part-time writer. Started working as a music writer as a side job while employed at a record shop, and for over 18 years I’ve contributed to music magazines, disc guide books, mooks, and web media. As a writer my main field is Western music, but as a listener for over 35 years, I always try to keep my curiosity alive with the motto “I like what I like.” I have experience playing in bands, where I was a bassist who handled songwriting and composition. Instruments I’ve played include bass, guitar, and piano. I began studying English in my mid-40s and continue to do so today.

In December 2023, they made their major debut with TOY’S FACTORY, releasing the digital single “Saiai no Yukue.” They’re praised for their diverse musicality, with each song revealing a different side.

Formed in 2019, Chilli Beans—nicknamed “Chiribi”—is currently one of the most exciting young female trios.

The three members were all students at Voice Music School, which has produced artists like YUI, Ayaka, and Vaundy.

All three are singer-songwriters, and their diverse catalog—marked by outstanding songwriting, professional musicianship, and a keen sensibility that transcends the boundaries of Western and Japanese pop—has drawn the attention of early-listening music fans since their debut.

Their co-written track with Vaundy, “lemonade,” topped Spotify’s Viral Chart in 2021.

Continuing to raise their profile with numerous tie-in songs, they achieved a major milestone by selling out a show at Nippon Budokan in February 2024.
