Released in July 2005 as their major-label debut single, this track is widely regarded as their signature song.

Over a track that fuses refined piano melodies with hip-hop beats, the lyrics paint a portrait of a sweet night.

Feelings that swell for a lover invited over, and fleeting moments of heartache, are expressed in a blend of English and Japanese, making the song truly moving.

Ushiroyubi Sasaregumi was formed by Mamiko Takai and Yukiko Iwai, members of Onyanko Club, an idol group that was hugely popular in the late ’80s.

Their debut single, which shares the same name as the group, “Ushiroyubi Sasaregumi,” was released in 1985 and used as the opening theme for the anime High School! Kimengumi.

The song expresses the feelings of a girl who falls for a boy who isn’t well-regarded at school.

Even if everyone speaks ill of him, she alone continues to love him—conveying the unstoppable passion of a heart in love.

It’s a duet sung together by the two members throughout, making it a great choice for friends to sing at karaoke, even if they’re not very confident singers!
